Thank you for saying that. Skepticism can be a health thing, but automatic cynicism is tiresome and may very well lead to false conclusions.
Do they actually care, or is it something they've been wanting to do but doing it now is better for their image?
Likely the latter, and more likely they are also spinning the division off and filling it out under 'investments' into a smaller company.
