Yep. And the group list in the sidebar also only includes the groups you're subscribed to. So if you see a group listed there, you're subscribed to it. And if you unsubscribe from a group, topics...

What's the value in subscribing to a group, if I can't get a feed of all groups I'm subscribed to? This seems so very basic, I must be misunderstanding.

I'm trying to grok the reasoning and value in seeing everything by default. When there are 10,000 groups I'll need to unsubscribe from all but the seven I want to see? Surely there must be an...

You are subscribed to all groups by default, then need to wittle down, there are not 10,000 groups as you can't make your own. Maybe if this place gets bigger that will change to only auto...

Your reasoning is not incorrect, but you can solve this for yourself by unsubscribing from the groups you aren't interested in now, before there are 10,000. The site is at about 30 groups now, and...

The site is at about 30 groups now, and it's been five years or so. If things keep up at this rate, you have like 1500 years before it gets to that point.
The default is currently set to subscribe to all groups since the site is currently so small. I believe it's been stated they intend to change that later if/when the site grows larger. However,...

However, you shouldn't be seeing content from groups you're not subscribed to on the home page. Tildes doesn't really have an "r/all" equivalent at the moment. So to double-check, are you saying you're seeing content for, say, ~food on the home page despite specifically unsubscribing from it?
An hour ago, yeah, I was seeing lots of groups I'm not subscribed to at the main page, tildes.net. Now, all is well. I've been here a couple of weeks and it's never done that before. 75% sure it...

I've been here a couple of weeks and it's never done that before. 75% sure it some wacky temporary glitch, with a 25% chance I'm an idiot. Actual rates may vary.
I'm on Tildes.net, and in the upper right, just below the search bar it says: "Home: The home page shows topics from groups that you're subscribed to." Do you see that text?

The front page is the feed of everything you're subscribed to. :P
Where's that page, please?
That would be tildes.net, as long as you're logged in

The home page shows topics from groups that you're subscribed to."
Do you see that text?
Yup, I can see that.
What I'd like to see is a page showing recent activity in all the groups I'm subscribed to.
Yes, that's the main page. You're looking at it. If there's nothing from a particular group, it's because there's other, more recent activity.
I'm going to remove this since you just seem very confused, but you can continue replying to the other users (or me) if you still need help.
Hey, I'm 65, getting more confused daily... :)
