I've instead been exploring what's at:
    Internet Archive, and
    PeerTube

and having lots of fun with the explorations. :)

Could it have been phrased better?

It's understandable and no big deal, if English is your second language. If it's your native language, then yes.

It was the '60s and the only source for comics was the spinning rack at the tiny grocery store two blocks from home. For my dime, it was either gonna be the Legion or Archie, and I went with the Legion. Came back for Archie a few days later, after hitting the jackpot in a phone booth's coin return...

I take out the trash when it starts stinking, vacuum after a spill, and that's enough.

Before Reddit decided to suck, I had about 300 Reddit URLs bookmarked for daily, weekly, and monthly visits. I've deleted all but the few that cover news on niche interests I haven't yet been able to match elsewhere, so I'm down to 4 daily clicks, plus 2 weekly clicks. It's surprising how much I don't miss spending hours there. Minutes is more than enough.

    Now, all is well.

I've been here a couple of weeks and it's never done that before. 75% sure it some wacky temporary glitch, with a 25% chance I'm an idiot. Actual rates may vary.

I'm trying to grok the reasoning and value in seeing everything by default. When there are 10,000 groups I'll need to unsubscribe from all but the seven I want to see?

Surely there must be an option to see a feed of only the groups I'm subscribed to?

What's the value in subscribing to a group, if I can't get a feed of all groups I'm subscribed to? This seems so very basic, I must be misunderstanding.

Interesting article, thanks. I don't think any corporation has a soul, but Doc Bronner's has good management and they make fabulous soap. Try the peppermint. Not a paid advertisement.

Do you think we ever will? Not so long as there are Republicans and, to a slightly lesser degree, Democrats.

This is the factual answer to ten-thousand questions about why America is so screwed up: Republicans, and, to a slightly lesser degree, Democrats.

The slums of San Francisco will always be my favorite place I've lived. The rents were cheap, the locals were (ahem) interesting, and everything you could want in the world was within two blocks — good, affordable restaurants, movie theaters, coffee shops, bookstores, and dirt cheap housing.

This was 30 years ago, so I imagine the cheap housing has faded away.

Of the several alternatives to Reddit I've tried, Tildes seems to have most of what I'm looking for — there's already plenty of interesting posts and comments, and the tech works, and the people behind the scenes aren't at all Spezlike.
