None of the comments in the topic you linked to were removed though, AFAICT. If any had been, there would be [removed by admin] showing up in the comment section. So I'm not quite sure what other links you're looking for. Are you thinking of the other post the same user made on the exact same subject a month afterwards? https://tildes.net/~tech/1hcc/where_do_you_consume_technology_news_from
Ah, in that case, only an archive/cache/mirror would have that. I just checked Bing and it only has a snapshot from after the post was removed, and WayBackMachine doesn't have one at all. It's...

To be honest, I've bookmarked many but I'm too busy to actually read any of them! But from now onwards, I've decided to give them a try at least once each day, I just want to know from you which ones are better sources of information and which aren't. Feel free to add more to this list. In no particular order:
I am unsure of etiquette in this case so I don't want to do it myself, but maybe it would be helpful to "crosspost" this comment to the original thread as comment replies are still enabled, so...

Huh, weird the user banned seemed to participate kindly and in good faith from what I could tell. I suppose there could be stuff I don't know about, but going back through their comments and posts...

They were previously temp banned for several months for shitposting almost every other day, amongst other things, and I know quite a few of their topics and comments were removed in their relatively short time on the site. So I guarantee you that whatever you're seeing of their history through archive.org isn't showing you the whole picture since much of it likely got removed before the snapshots were taken.
And all you need to do is look at their recent post and comments on /r/redditalternatives, where they called Deimos a "tyrant" who has a "sadistic personality" and must have had a "disturbed childhood" to know what they were really like, IMO.

Sounds like Immortal is looking for links that were contained in the body of the post, not the comments

Edit: Oh, you're in luck, @Immortal. Even though google no longer supports caching, you can still search and access their old ones, and there is a snapshot for that post:
Thank you so much, I thought it was just gone because it wasn't on Wayback Machine but I didn't think to try what you shared. I really appreciate it!
Thanks for sharing, these are mostly new to me and I follow a lot of tech related websites.
This comes as news to me. Bummer.
I am unsure of etiquette in this case so I don't want to do it myself, but maybe it would be helpful to "crosspost" this comment to the original thread as comment replies are still enabled, so that if someone has the same problem but doesn't find this thread can view the list of links, it's a great list!
Given how this topic morphed into focusing on the banned user, I don't think that's particularly wise.
Huh, weird the user banned seemed to participate kindly and in good faith from what I could tell. I suppose there could be stuff I don't know about, but going back through their comments and posts and it seems genuinely fine if you are into tech stuff.

I've been waiting for the Deimos origin story to drop! Did not disappoint.
Oh I see, thank you for the context.
Yeah, makes me wonder whether I'm stepping close to the line or not, and where the line is.
Remember you won't see the posts that were deleted at all. So you'll have no context for what may have happened.
Used archive.org
I'm not sure that you'd necessarily be getting an archive of all the posts by that person, given that the deleted ones would potentially be gone before any archive of those individual posts were made. But YMMV.
