Please stop subscribing new accounts to a set of groups

It's really annoying, since you have to go in and manually unsubscribe from the groups that you don't like

The discoverability of groups/subscriptions is the underlying issue. Perhaps some sort of onboarding flow would eventually be appropriate, where you are given ability to peruse the menu options...

Perhaps some sort of onboarding flow would eventually be appropriate, where you are given ability to peruse the menu options available or can dive straight in?

So you’ll probably only have to do that once. Is it really that bothersome?

I moved the topic over to ~tildes and fixed the title. I hope that’s ok.

I think most people would be confused by a workflow where they see content on the frontpage, create an account, and no longer see content.

Uh, there's a reply button. You didn't use it so @ali will only know you replied by the mention in this comment or by coming back to this post. Also you can only edit the title after a few minutes...

Also you can only edit the title after a few minutes and maybe after your account is a few days old.
