Well, they advertised self-driving, and damnit, the customers are going to have self-driving cars. Including at stop signs. And no, they never asked for self-stopping cars. Who wants that anyway?

How does a recall work with OTA upgrades? From the article it sounds like a patch is coming within a few weeks, but I’m guessing there are laws in place that require a recall for safety defects – is it in name only? Are you required to stop driving the vehicles until the patch is delivered? Do they actually want you to bring these in?
