Came across this cute little EV called Microlino (https://microlino-car.com/en/microlino) I think it's great to see smaller cars, although this seems a tad impractical.

Although, with it's size it does give me hope for electric conversations for ICE vehicles. If they can make an electric with that range that size, they can make a crate motor with a decent sized battery for retrofitting, I hope.
Agreed, I will admit I am curious to see what the crash test ratings are like for a vehicle like this. The arms race of building bigger and bigger SUVs, and now electric SUVs that are heavier do...

The arms race of building bigger and bigger SUVs, and now electric SUVs that are heavier do not bode well for someone in this lil fella :(
Much like any smaller vehicle, moreso in America, but you're basically admitting you're going to lose on any non divided highway... That said, 90km/h top speed basically guarantees you don't go on...

That said, 90km/h top speed basically guarantees you don't go on most of them.
Plus, I've seen a mini shrug off a Silverado, so there's always hope!
A mini is also a car and subject to crash tests. This is a quadricycle and is not. I'm sure BMW would love to get the attention of having a new Isetta city car, but there's zero chance a front...

This is closer to a Smart Fortwo, but again that is a car and has crash tests to back up it's safety. This thing is a death trap and only exacerbated by things like an electric door open/close mechanism instead of a much more reliable mechanical system.
It's cute, it looks fun, it might be good in a place with strict rules about size and speed, but on any road with other actual cars, it's just waiting for a bad collision, trapped passengers, and an excruciating death by battery fire.
That was one of my initial thoughts while watching the video and rewound a bit to notice all the others in the vide are also rag top, so I guess you have a way out if your legs aren't crushed and...

It's a great little car, but the issue I have with these types of cars it that they almost alway turn out to be incredibly expensive: they start at 18k euro.

That's why you buy the one with the manual sunroof so you can escape out the top.

Alternatively if you lack upper body strength, it looks pretty light so I think you could rock it onto its side and pull yourself out.
