This has been said numerous times, but there are way too many streaming services. We are heading back to the situation that existed with cable. It will also lead to an increase in media piracy.

I could live with each network having their own service if they were more affordable. $10-$15 isn't much until you've got like 3 or 4 streaming service subscriptions and it then it starts to add...

Exactly. I am definitely willing to pay that $10-15 a month for a streaming service, maybe two, if pretty much all shows were on those. However, with how things are looking, I may have to learn...

      From the article:

      From the article:

The move bolsters the potential appeal of NBC’s ad-supported streaming service, which is set to launch in the first quarter of 2020.

Still, the decision may convince more people to sign up for NBC’s streaming service, which will be driven by advertising revenue tied to eyeballs. NBC has said the streaming service will be free for subscribers of traditional pay-TV bundles. It will cost about $10 per month for cord cutters, according to people familiar with the matter.

So basically, the worst of all possible solutions. Ad-supported and paywall.

Holy shit this is so stupid I can't grasp it. Years and Years was right...we have reached full potential as humans and we're now just getting more and more stupid.

Lol, fuck that. I ain't paying $10/month for ad-supported NBC, or ad-free NBC for that matter. They're not worth that much.

not currently as near as i can tell, but it appears this is a preemptive move as a part of them setting up their future slightly unorthodox service, which seems to be geared toward non-cable cutters.

It seems they do according to Netflix’s tweet announcing the removal.
