Yea I was curious about the 'interim' as well, maybe its not something Ken Jennings really wants to do? Cause he is a fan favorite, I don't know why the execs would consider anyone else.

He initially did say he wasn't interested. He reconsidered since Alex's death, or maybe the Jeopardy execs offered him a shitton of money. Maybe he will fall in love with it as Alex did.

They would be fools to just pick someone without putting them through the ultimate litmus test: the actual TV audience.
The only other candidate I saw suggested that made sense was LeVar Burton. I'd really enjoy that, although I do concede that given Ken's connection to Jeopardy he probably makes more sense.
