I've spent the last few months catching up on Marvel stuff and so Loki's progression as a character across the Thor films and the intro of Infinity War is fresh in my mind. When I first heard this show would feature Avengers-era Loki I kind of lost all interest in it. The reason I like Loki is because of everything that happened after Avengers.
But this trailer...I have to admit I am kind of excited to watch this now. And I may never enjoy this version of Loki like I did main timeline Loki, but it still looks like a fun show.

It might be a stretch to say he was completely redeemed but he definitely changes from someone who is totally committed to his own goals and desires to someone finally at peace with his brother and willing to fight for Asgard’s future.
I genuinely hope we see Loki still make that journey albeit differently this time because, while I think evil Loki is a good villain, I greatly preferred Loki as he was at the end of Ragnarok
I have hopes for this. For Marvel to keep relevant, they have to go all in and commit to the weird stuff. This and Wandavision might actually keep me interested after having felt somewhat burned...

I also just wanna know if the series is based on comic book series previously - I tried looking and I couldn't find anything.
Fittingly enough, given that the main character is the god of mischief, Disney+ has pulled a trick with the Loki release schedule. The next major Marvel show will premiere two days earlier than expected, on June 9th instead of June 11th.
Episodes will still be released weekly, but on Wednesdays.
Agreed. And even though it's been done before, I really love the anachronistic aesthetics/vibe of everything too. It feels very reminiscent of The Adjustment Bureau, Fringe, 12 Monkeys, Umbrella...

Tom Hiddleston is low key a great actor.

Bit of an unexpected update:
'Loki' is coming to Disney+ two days earlier than planned
