Been playing friends vs friends for the last couple of days. It has charm but not alot of meat on its bones. You also need to have at least somewhat decent aim to enjoy this game. Deckbuilding aspect is fine but has less depth than I might have hoped. Leveling up cards is needlessly grindy but tolerably so. Matchmaking is fast but not very balanced. System requirements are light but not as light as they should be. Game is cheap especially during spring sale. Worth checking out if you like pvp shooters and dont mind rng.

The watch I'm currently wearing is a Nixon Rerun. I got it for my 30th birthday because I liked the way it looks and also the fact that it was an all-metal digital dumbwatch that was neither to small nor too chunky. I've only been using it for just under a month, but so far I like it quite a lot. In addition to the time, it also gives me both the date and the day of the week. It also has the option to set a time for a second time zone, as well as having both a timer and alarm functions, though I have yet to make use of these. It also wasn't crazily expensive, which is quite nice.

One thing I noticed when I first started wearing it was that when it slid up and down my wrist, it would often catch onto the hairs on my arm, which was quite unpleasant. It seems to have mostly stopped doing this, probably because those hairs are worn down now.

I can personally vouch for the 7hz Salnotes Zero. Sound is pretty good. I initially found it a bit shouty but I think I was just accustomed to a slightly muffled sound. I initially found them a bit uncomfortable but I quickly got used to them after switching to the tallest eartips which are the tallest ones. Never tried any of the others but the Zeroes are pretty good overall.

The trailer looks good, but I think I've had my fill of open world games at this point, and GTA in particular. I've also lost what little patience I had with rockstar.

On another note, I really hope that Nintendo goes private in response to this, seeing as how Microsoft is using ValueAct as a surrogate to try to push Nintendo into an acquisition.

One thing I liked about this was the separation of written and spoken language. It reminds me of the universal language of the heptapods from Contact.

Main criticism is the sometimes questionable choices of symbols and the strange choice to replace Arabic numerals with symbols that are both culturally specific and also do not scale well with large or even medium sized numbers.

Severely doubt it will go anywhere but I'd like to try out a working proof of concept for it.

It does, however, lower my opinion of Altman which wasn't even that high beforehand. Doesn't do many favors for my opinion of OpenAI either.

Aside from F1, which I've been watching with my dad since I was a kid, I've also been watching Trans Am races on YouTube. It's a pretty nice contrast from F1 to be honest. I'd consider watching the races live, but the want you to download a special app and pay a pretty crazy price for what is ultimately a pretty niche racing series.

The 24 hours of Le mans was also pretty good. Glad to see Ferrari winning at something. Garage 56 was also cool to see. Kind of wish that Glickenhaus did better but that was always a pipedream.

Also if you don't do this already, turn your graphic t-shirts inside out before washing them. The graphics won't crack nearly as quickly this way.

Having used Lemmy since the start of the blackout, I would basically describe it as a promising, but rough around the edges, work in progress. Unlike many here, I didn't really find it difficult to sign up or use it, which isn't to say that technical issues weren't a semi-regular occurrence. This may have something to do with the fact that I signed up on a somewhat smaller instance.

My 2 biggest complaints right now is that there aren't yet many niche communities that are active, and that if anything the culture there is a little too much like reddit for my liking. I suppose that was kind of the point though, so I can't complain too much.

I've basically been going back and forth between the various Android clients and so far I like Jerboa and Summit the best, but I have yet to fall in love with any of them. Hoping that something closer to rif eventually comes along.

As embarrassing as it may be, rage comics are what originally got me into Reddit. I don't think I even used social media much before that, besides YouTube, in fact I didn't even heavily use the internet prior to when I started going to high school in the late 2000s. Prior to that I mostly lurked on various gaming related forums, and before that I stayed on various kid friendly websites, such as Nick and Cartoon Network's websites, and Neopets.
