Right now I'm watching Ascendance of a Bookworm, and Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, two shows from Fall 2019 and possibly my favourite shows alongside Overlord. The former are just so wholesome and unique that they're hard to stop watching.

In the case of the Bookworm anime, it really just melts my heart. Don't get me wrong, the plot is pretty interesting, but the character interactions and atmosphere just give me such a warm feeling that's similar--but not identical--to hearing my nephew say a new word. Just so lovably sweet but not in a sickening, unbearable kind of way. Again, the story is good, but I feel like it's an accessory to the wholesome vibes this show oozes until things pick up from the initial development. Strongly considering the light novel for this, or the manga if it's about as far as the former.

Welcome to Demon School has a lot of fun shounen moments played off in silly ways. The show itself hasn't gotten as far as I'd like, so I've started reading the manga (there's no LN) and it's a blast. It just keeps getting more and more ridiculous, with pauses for character development, and I love it! Even more, the manga translations are being rapid-fire released in English since there isn't anything official that I can find. Up to this point, the anime is an almost perfect adaptation.

Try them both if you haven't already. :)

I'm enjoying it so far but I can't stop staring at his crazy hair. Seeing that kid in a high school was bizarre.

I've been reading the visual novels for Overlord, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Goblin Slayer--as well as the manga for Maoyu. Usually I'd just watch the show, but I'm really starting to appreciate the little details that get scrapped for the adaptation. I'm also really impatient and want to catch up with the latest plot, so to that end I just finished Slime's WN.

Part of me loves it because it sounds like so many of my favourites, La Niña Blanca by Vienna Ditto in particular.... but part of me also loves the whole "hidden gem" aspect of finding a good song from a small local band.

The modes are used to select different shortcuts for configuring the keyboard, or compensating for the buttons you lose compared to a full size layout (like F1).

Rumination is something I've been struggling with for a while now, but have only recently recognized as destructive behaviour. Taking the time to consider my thoughts and feelings has really grounded me and made me a more mature, considerate person... But it also caused me to develop a pervasive paranoia, as I believed every question needed a satisfying answer no matter how trivial it was. Fighting these invasive thoughts really makes me anxious, but I value the introspection aspect too much to drop it completely.

Basically, I kept thinking my rumination was the same as introspection and eventually put too much faith into the process. Now that I know the issue, I'm basically going through an identity crisis trying to figure out what should happen next.

They do! Aside from the standard solid colours, there's a full list of effects too. It looks really good at max brightness with a slow, rainbow swirl: that's actually what I used for the picture....

Sorry about the lighting, a lot of the detail was lost for the dark shot. These are just Ducky One RGB keycaps from a full ANSI model, they were already laying around and I didn't want to buy new ones until everything was working. They do have transparent letters, and the super key is just a Windows Icon (which is annoying, because it's Mode(1) with the QMK software).

Just a fun little project I did with my family for funsies. I think it turned out alright aside of some slightly angled switches, which (arguably) just add to the charm. It actually started out as an impulse buy after /u/hungariantoast told me about some cheap, defective switches. Ended up shaving off the nubs so they didn't crack my keycaps and then soldered it all together. Overall, they feel absolutely amazing but there's no way I could game with these and not cripple myself.

    These are the parts used:

    • DZ60 (mini USB) PCB
    • Kailh BOX Navy switches
    • Old Ducky One keycaps
    • Kbdfans acrylic case

And yeah, his videos can be a bit strange. He posted another great one a few days ago called Nurpo that's just a weird little jingle, but Lima Bean Man is something else completely...

The article rightfully notes that the supposed ninth planet has its critics, but their criticisms are buried under a sensationalist opening paragraph. There isn't much evidence for the presence of a new planet, and it's instead one potential explanation to various gravitational anomalies. We shouldn't jump to conclusions until there's enough evidence to substantiate such a bold claim, especially in light of other theories--one having been mentioned only a few paragraphs in. Stating that "astronomers wish to add a new ninth planet" is pretty disingenuous.
