Not that it matters much for my vote. I live in a solid-colored state, so I have the privilege of taking a moral position on the presidential vote.

Yes, we live in a two-party system, so inevitably, the three options are left, right, or some flavor of abstaining, but there are still coalitions in both the left and the right. Simply, if Biden chooses to ignore one of these group, he should not count on their support.
The onus is on the candidate to earn our votes. If we just fall in line for the blue or red candidate, they have no incentive to cater to anyone but moderates on the fence, especially in an election year without a primary opponent. Withholding our vote is democracy in action. It gives Biden a reason to listen to us, to stop enabling the genocide in Gaza, to end the subsidies of this Israeli offensive.

I agree with the sentiment above. I would love to see a steep tax on such investment properties at a minimum. Throw in some public investment for affordable housing and further restrictions on for-profit property hoarding, and we might just make some progress.

Sure, the big problems aren't new: war, economic hardship, environmental destruction, and social intolerance, but now I hear about every problem. Things that likely wouldn't have been on my radar are in my Instagram reels or in my notifications. Floods, attacks, fires, etc.
On top of the societal woes, I'm living paycheck to paycheck working two jobs. I'm watching what I thought were basic rights be undone. I go back to my hometown wearing a mask to appease my conservative family and neighbors; I come back to the city and fall in love with people who move across the country for work within two years -- if you don't job hop, inflation will outpace your salary.
The world is better connected than it's ever been; life feels lonelier than ever before. Love is easy to find, but it comes prepackaged with an expiration date. Money is losing value; wealth is out of reach.
I read them in middle school and really enjoyed them. Looking back, that probably means they were not that good. I recall them being super intellectual, insightful, and complex, which I find really embarrassing to think back on today. That said, they were an enjoyable read with an assortment of historical easter eggs or wiki rabbit holes to dive down. I don't regret reading them, but I would not recommend them to a friend.
