I don't find it odd going back to OEM profile keycaps but I don't really have a preference in terms of profiles anyway so that may have to do with it.

I don't really have a preference for keycap profiles but currently I am typing on some DSA caps! My favourite colorway/design is GMK Electric by Vala but it would seem they have given up on it... :(

Personally, I prefer the 65% layout as arrow keys are super handy for me but at home I use a 96key layout as I also use the numpad occasionally.

Last year I was looking for a nice beginner friendly distro and landed on mint, I still love it and am still using it but I am looking for a more hands-on distro now, where I know what is installed and doesn't have as much preloaded (currently looking forward to trying out Arch Linux)

You should check out Brian Goulet's youtube channel, it's a great place for starters (some argue that his store has overpriced products, but no one argues that his videos are great for beginners).

I tried it out when they had their closed beta a while back and I didn't like it too much... Tried it again a few days ago and I have no idea what they did but it feels and runs much better now. I personally am against the idea of champions/classes in the arena FPS genre and feel like it would be a much better game without them (it's a shame the game was built around it).

You should check out Diabolical which if all goes well should be a fantastic arena FPS similar to the older games when it eventually comes out... it was planned to be released a year ago and the backers of this project have gotten very minimal updates but I still believe in it and it's sort of my last hope for a decent arena fps game. Quake Champions will do for now.

Tealios are Zeal's linear switch, a little overpriced for what they are in my opinion but after lubing they are really smooth, but wobbly.

Zealiostotles are a mixture of an Aristotle stem (a really old switch that is terrible, but the stem has a great clicking mechanism) and a Zealio housing. They are by far to me the most tactile and nice feeling clicky switch.

And yea a switch tester is a great idea, but trying out a single switch is never the same as a whole board of them. If I were you I'd try to go to a local meet up next time there is one to try out other peoples boards and switches!

My favourite hobby is mechanical keyboards, I love the way they feel, look, and sound. It's one of those things that seem really simple and shallow at first, but after you scratch the surface a little and get into it you find out there is so much to learn and so much to try.

Here are a few links to some mechanical keyboard communities if anyone is interested:

I think the main problem with linear threads is that it makes it very hard to reply to one another (commenter to commenter) and follow/read these replies, for clarity, I think it's best to have at least a single depth (like YouTube comments). But personally, I actually prefer it the way Reddit/Tildes has it now (infinite depth).
