Thank you! But it was really hard to make! I made it halfway and then destroyed so I could work with it in a better way, but it's been a while and I'm not done!

Does playing with my cat count?
I also play Spelling bee to relax.

But I do have several projects going at once. I do them after work if I can.

    • A big stylistic painting of my cat.
    • Sculpting a creepy elephant creature or give up and just paint it instead
    • Abstract painting
    • Watch jet lag or dropout content.
    • Paint a bag.

I usually have very little energy after work and do literally nothing. I don't even scroll through social media. I just lie there. It helps that the cat comes to snuggle sometimes.

But I've been trying to get myself to do a small amount of any of my projects after work. So it's a struggle but sometimes I manage to do it.

But I'm looking forward to watching their stuff again!

I took a first aid course! But I still wouldn't trust myself with anyone else's life. So I don't know how useful that would be.

The most I trust myself to do is, Check for danger. Approach the casualty and tap them on the shoulder and ask "Hello hello, are you okay?" And then yell at someone to call an ambulance and then yell at someone else to get an AED.

My friend was trying to remember the song you can do CPR to. And she hummed the tune to Final Countdown. I found that hilarious.

It's an interesting read and especially relevant now. There were many things about the effects of meritocracy that I didn't consider before reading this.

I'm not participating but I admire those who can write. So I'd be trying to read all the submissions. Just wanted to say good luck to all of you who participated! And good job on getting it done!

So I very much prefer the Utopia of TNG. I'd be a regular citizen. Or maybe someone on some boring research station.

Being on the Enterprise itself would result in multiple unresolved traumas.

And being on Voyager would result in abandoned lizard babies.

I'm also in the middle of painting a small bird.

I'm also still working on my Elephant sculpt. Although I mutilated it recently and cut it in half because I wanted to put a wire frame in it. So it's a little hard to get back to it because I've lost progress.

Oh! Yeah. Picking a different route once a week sounds like a good idea.

I might steal that idea and try going home on a different route once a week.

It's easy for me to get in a rut too. I'm a creature of habit and am capable of doing the same thing everyday. I also end up never leaving my apartment for days. So just getting out there and seeing things is good for me.

I don't know how good my painting will be! If it turns out decent, I don't mind sharing!

You can share what you end up making when you get inspired too. I'm curious! If you want to that is.

I've been not in a great mental state. So everything kind of died internally for a while. Nothing was interesting or inspiring. But I'm a lot better now and I want to regain what I lost. Art wise.

So I've been putting aside one day a week to go somewhere interesting or different alone. It doesn't have to be specifically art. It can be museums about the war. Or explore a particular hidden passage people don't know about. Going hiking counts too.

The most recent one I went to was on a whim. I just looked at Google maps for the nearest art galleries around and went to the closest one that seemed interesting.

It was fun. I met the owner of the gallery and had a nice chat with him. Talked about art got inspired by some of the art. They was a lot of mixed mediums going on and I loved that.

Afterwards, I bought a medium sized canvas to paint on because I want to try paint bigger! Like all those artworks I saw!

I'm going to do it! If it goes well, I'll go even bigger! BIGGER!

I went through the same thing. I realised that a lot of painting was knowledge of how things work.

I started studying things whenever I was walking somewhere or waiting. Or pretending I would be painting it and studying to figure out how I would do it.

Somehow my painting got better after that. I also had a gap where I didn't paint for a while.

So when I did finally paint and found out I was better, it was motivating and helped me paint more often.

Yes! A pasta machine for clay is a good reason to get one. I had no idea firm was a thing. I can't imagine how hard it'll be. I already have powerful fingers from having to soften Premo clay.
