    It's a present for my sister! They're based on her real life cats.

    I only just started this week. So far I've acquired a white polyester shower curtain and some acrylic fabric medium.

    I'm wondering whether if it's okay to just use acrylic straight without the medium. It's just the shower curtain.

    I've also started some very minimal sketches/plans for the curtain. I want to paint my cat on the curtain but her fur pattern makes her hard to draw.

    But that's all I got for now.

    Side note: The link leads to an unlinked page on my personal website. I was too lazy to make an account on an image site and I already had something that could host images. I don't know if that's considered as self advertising. I'm not. But do let me know if that's okay?

    I don't know if I'll be able to finish it by the end of the month. But I'll try.

    Last year I said I would build a cat house or something of that sort and I didn't finish it within the month. But I did eventually make one within the year. It's busted now though.

    The cat has fully made use of it and destroyed it. Love that she enjoyed it at least.

    So if I don't finish by the end of the month, I do hope to finish it close to it at least. I'll try really hard though.

    Although I'm starting next week because I have a deadline at the end of this week.

    I'm going to try! I'm hoping it's going to be better for my mental health to finally work on something creative.

    I'm going to make a cat house/tree (depending on how high I can make it) out of materials I already have. I have a lot of boxes and craft material. I just want to reuse and reduce waste I've got. So it might still end up looking quite shoddy but that's okay. As long as the cat likes it.

    Also, If there's time, I'd like to do at least 1 small watercolour piece.

    But I'm also thinking of building a cat house out of all the cardboard boxes and random materials I have. I've got a new cat and I remember building one for my childhood cat as a kid and that was fun.

    The challenge would be to only use materials I already have. So it might look shoddy but that's kind of the whole point. I kind of wanted to find ways to recycle.

    Also, The cat won't care about aesthetics. Haha.

    The other thing I'm thinking of doing is to watercolour or acrylic paint something. I've not touched it in so long.

    I do the same! I read an hour before sleep and I use my Kobo. It is electronic, but I don't count it as an electronic device. The screen is not the same and you're not connected to any other...

    The screen is not the same and you're not connected to any other distractions like social media or messaging.

    It's pretty much just a book display to me.

    Hahaha. That has happened to me many times. Before bed books have to be interesting enough for you to want to keep going, but boring enough that you can put away. It's a hard balance to find!...

    Sometimes I find the perfect book for that, then near the end with the climax, things get exciting, and I'll have to abandon the book and delegate that to day reading instead.

    Sometimes I draw or do any craft related thing instead.

    Although now that I've got a new cat, I've been trying to establish a routine where I play with the cat, feed her, and then go to sleep. It really does take a while.

    But she usually sleeps after that whole routine too. It's very cute.
