Really easy to use, extremely stable and even looks nice. No need for Debian testing or unstable on older laptops btw.

Went there with my family by car. It's not too far from where I live.

Overall it was an interesting experience, because I normally don't go to conventions or so. Unfortunately we didn't really play that much, because we walked around a lot... :D

One of the games I've played and really liked was Shape Invaders. Very simple, but engaging. It was a lot of fun! Another one is "If it fits" from Jolly Dutch, which was kinda complicated, but also pretty cool (think about buying it when it comes out).

A game I actually bought was Paco Sako. A chess variant that is actually a ton of fun and really turns the game on its head. I love chess in general, so the buy was a no-brainer, haha. Especially since the guy who explained it to me was convincing too (he explained it really well).

We then looked around a lot and eventually also played Timeline Twist, which is a rather basic, but nonetheless fun game (I enjoy basic/casual games a lot if they're not too luck based).

What I didn't like is how expensive it was to enter. We also forgot to take something to drink with us... big mistake! The drinks there were terribly overpriced.

Didn't really "meet" anyone. I did play one round of Shape Invaders against a guy from Thailand though.

My sister went there before us too and bought a few cool games (can't remember the names, but played them at home). She also bought a starter kit for Dungeons and Dragons, which means that's what I will soon have to learn. :P

Boats on packed ice are best (unrelated to Penguin), also much easier to get than elytras which many people won't even get considering there's still a ton of people who have never beaten the Ender Dragon.

Then, again, the boat is arguably the best item in the game (vid is about speedrunning, but also mentions its use in general; and it's very true imo): https://youtu.be/07WUv-Pn2iM?si=gjPGoYlMQlApey7Z

Keep in mind I might not know if the boat was nerfed now or so. Since a long time I almost only play on modded beta versions (where the boat isn't even that good tho, haha). Just thought it could be interesting to see.

Honestly, I like to do things personally.

I know many suggested talking to your wife first. Maybe do that, but ask her how you should handle the situation with your SIL instead and don't ask your wife to talk with her or so.

Then take your SIL aside (don't be the guy who complains about her in front of her family/acquaintances) and calmly tell her that you found it unfair that she invited someone without asking you and you would appreciate better communication between you and her. To calm down the situation, you could maybe add that you're not resentful or so. Just be nice about it. If she reacts confused or gives you a testy reply, stay calm and tell her you don't want to be on bad terms with her, it's just about proper communication.

If your wife tells you to handle things differently from what I would do though, do that. She knows her, I don't.

You're not wrong. Communication is extremely important in such situations.

Daily Mail is a typical tabloid-newspaper like The Sun or BILD. Their reports are often one-sided, especially in more political articles.

    One example regarding Africa-China relations

Another example (focus on the used language): How China's taking over Africa, and why the west should be VERY worried

    The first one in particular.

I have looked into how western media portrays Africa-China (also Angola-China) relations half a year ago. That's why I chose these examples. Keep in mind that there's others depicting China similarly based on incorrect information. Here it's more about the overall style of the articles (language and structure).

About the article you posted: It's of course not as extreme as the aforementioned ones. My intention is to show what he meant by listing examples.

You can debate all day how something wouldn't fit under a tag and deserves its own thing, while in the end it does fit under one tag and the debate will just end up being inconclusive.

AI is tech-related. It doesn't need to be "just tech, not related to any other existing tags". Otherwise we would need 100k new additional tags...

In this case it's clear you can put it somewhere other than misc. So no, I believe we don't need "~AI".

Don't buy the 5700G if you want to pair it with a dedicated GPU. It is significantly worse than the non-G equivalents, as it has less L3-cache and worse boost speeds.

Some people seem to enjoy the preparation you can do in Elden Ring or the insane builds. Kind of suits someone who likes deckbuilding gameplay. In Dark Souls III, probably the most linear title of the Dark Souls trilogy, that wasn't impossible, but relatively hard to do if you didn't want to beat a boss from mid-late game early. DLCs gave new opportunities mid-game though.

"Goes to print 1 last time" and then goes on with: "It plans to continue online and with a monthly print edition."

Just pointing out for whoever won't read the article. The difference is how meaningful the "Tageszeitung" is in Germany and Austria. Unfortunately print media is experiencing a decline here in Germany and Austria (this case), but that doesn't undermine the advantages of it (accessibility, trustability, interaction). We should know what happens with centralization(?) of media (can't think of an adequate term).

I also wonder what effect the decline can have on media concentration in the future?

Am I just too close minded? What is it that you enjoy most in deckbuilding games? Is it a lot of grinding or is it RNG heavy?

I'd like to mention Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky as well. It's my favourite game of all time (all platforms considered).

In comparison to Platinum, which is also awesome, Explorers is not a main-line Pokémon game, but a heavily story-driven dungeon crawler with arguably the best OST in all DS games. It even has its own romhacks, which are far more advanced than what I saw in main-line Gen 4 modding.

The story writing/characters, music, gameplay and visuals are all phenomenal and the game is HUGE. The post(!)-game alone is really long. Additionally there are five bonus episodes too (in each you play as the other characters you meet in the game, like other exploration teams or guild members).

There's also Rescue Team Blue, but that's technically more a GBA title (Rescue Team Red is for GBA). Also nice, but doesn't include the quality of life changes from Sky. Still I love that title too! Lastly there's Gates to Infinity and Super Mystery Dungeon. Super is awesome and very nostalgic (you will think of your childhood A LOT). Gates is the black sheep of the series, rightfully so, but it's still a good game (especially the OST; the OST was one of the reasons I started getting enthusiastic about music, lol). For the Switch there's also Rescue Team DX – a remake of Rescue Team Red/Blue. Pretty well made and adorable, although the soundtrack is hit or miss.

For everyone who hasn't played it (Explorers of Sky) yet: Give it a chance. Enjoy it on a relaxing day at night in the comfort of your bed. If you can, do it on an actual DS. There's barely anything like it.
