I have a Kamado grill, but some fun things you can make regardless of the grill type are:

    • Pineapple
    • Flatbreads, pizza, etc
    • Sliced potatoes w/ butter, seasoning (Put in foil pouch)
    • Kabobs (Marinades are your friend)
    • Any veggies

Invest in a grilling basket/mat for smaller things that would otherwise fall through the grates.

I moved from a technical to managerial role last year and these would be my takeaways:

Do you have any technical skills? It's not required, but at least having an aptitude for it will go a long way. The idea is that you may not be able to do the work, but you can understand it and trust in your staff (or project members) to do their jobs.

Where you could be a huge help is leveraging soft skills for the technical folks with communications, organization, accountability, etc.

For Project Mgmt you could look at some real entry level certifications like the CompTIA Project+, or something general purpose from PMI

You need to do what's right for you, not what others perceive.

I think all the refs have some level of training. Have you seen any videos of the stuff Rick Knox would do in PWG and the other indies?

I also support RLM. One neat perk they offer is that when they release a new (paid) audio commentary, they'll give you a code so you can get your own copy for free if you message them on Patreon.

The Pixel line is probably the best for updates. You could get a Gen 1 Pixel for a good price, or wait for the Pixel 3 to drop this fall and see if the Pixel 2 goes down.

I abandoned my Moto X (2015) for the same reason. It's a shame too because they still make decent phones.

I've played quite a bit of Stellaris, and I can say that the game today is miles ahead of where it was at launch - par for the course for any Paradox game.

As for mods, I have one or two from the early days that still work fine, and the "major" mods keep well up to to date. I also believe you can have Steam download and run older builds of the game if you want to keep fully functional until mod updates are released.

Part of me wants to be cynical and say this is just NRA fear-mongering, designed to drum up additional donations from their supporters. The article does a good job outlining that this isn't just a money issue, it's a problem of other businesses (In this case, insurance and financial firms) simply view the NRA as too big of a risk to work with.

Either way, until they close their doors I'm not convinced that they're in dire straits.
