I have tried Startpage and find it works quite well for my searching. It tends to give you the most literal interpretation of your query which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you’re looking for.

There is a really great resource for mapping out a path of what to learn and in roughly what order here. You’ve just got to choose which “path” you want to go down. As others have mentioned Javascript is basically a must in the modern dev landscape. You can probably get some work with the basics you have already but js is going to make you way more desirable as a hire.

Also you might want to look at getting hired as an intern first. There a many companies that offer paid internships to get your foot in the door.

At the end of the day, It’s another person on the other side of the screen. The more we try to remember that the better.

To me I've just seen enough of the same flavour of puzzles in the various Zelda dungeons that I feel like they needed to make a change.

If I find the bow in a dungeon I immediately know how the rest of the puzzles in the dungeon are going to play out. They are mostly just "look for the thing to shoot"; this also translates to the boss of the same dungeon. Just shoot it in the eye.

I do think there isn't really any other games that are that classic Zelda formula which makes it hard if that is what you are looking for.
