Journey's soundtrack is particularly memorable to me; that one's incredibly immersive!

Yup, exactly this. Human-readable code makes it easier for non-coders to help make stuff.

Super cool! I've been investigating a possible way to easily access all of my recipes and share them with my wife... this is a great way to do that!

Where I am (Milwaukee), there's a lot of factors that make it dangerous for pedestrians (and other drivers), namely:

    • "Passing on the right" culture
      • At stop lights or single-lane streets, impatient drivers frequently pass into the shoulder or bike lane in order to get around you. This is extremely dangerous as you risk hitting a cyclist or pedestrian nearby.
    • Long stretches of straight roads
      • This makes it easy to be at a much higher average speed without even realizing it.
    • A nasty habit of running yellow/red lights
      • There's a lack of red light enforcement here which means you can pretty easily get away with running a red light; super easy to clip a pedestrian that way.

Enforcement to stop these bad habits only goes so far. There's simply too many lax drivers who greatly outpace any current enforcement levels. There have been moves to help -- speed bumps, changing traffic light patterns, strategic placement of medians -- that can slow traffic in places with more pedestrians.

The article lays out the biggest problem, though -- cars in general are getting bigger, and that increases their lethality.

yellowhat plays mainly Modern and Legacy but is extremely talented.
ThrabenU is another one I like, mainly focusing on Legacy content. Phil is a great player and fun to watch.
Finally, BoshNRoll is an entertaining streamer who plays very fun decks.

      • A great, compelling adventure tale that really sucks you in. Includes very nice music and some great 80s anime style art. (Contains some very minor nudity.)
    2. A Field of Flowers and Stars
      • A short but sweet sci-fi love story about two girls -- one human, one alien! It's fully voiced, too!
      • I helped make this one, so I'm a bit biased. I think it's fantastic. :P

Crystal Clear is my favorite ROMhack that I've been enjoying for a long time. It re-imagines the world of GSC and makes it an open world adventure where you can start from any town. Plus, it's compatible with the original games and Pokémon Stadium 2!

If you love Gen 2 as much as I do, you'll love Crystal Clear. It's re-solidified my love for the original games.

  12. Visual novel readers, what kinds of choices do you want to make in your games?

Do you prefer kinetic VNs (where there are no choices, just story), choices that slightly alter the dialogue but don't impact the story much, or choices that result in new scenes/routes/endings?...

Personally, I'm a fan of having choices in the game and having them impact the narrative -- either by unlocking a new route, a special scene with a character, or getting an alternative ending. Stein's;Gate was a lot of fun for me.

I do enjoy a good kinetic novel when I just want to listen to music and read, though. Queen Beast is a great recent example -- go check it out!

I work as a software engineer most of the time, but when I'm not working I play a lot of Magic: The Gathering!
