Baldur's Gate 3. I bought it when they released it as early access, since I had such a good time with Divinity 2, but only played a little. With the release I've played it religiously. I have a two year old daughter, so don't have much free time, but I play first chance I get. But tomorrow, Total War: Pharaoh is released, and it looks to be good so far, so it might be the game to break my BG3 streak.

    Sorry for late reply.

I really enjoy how foraging for mushrooms and berries are embedded in swedish culture. It's something a lot of us do, and that closeness to nature is something I myself value a lot. I enjoy all the different accent and dialects in Sweden as well as the history here. No matter where you are in Sweden, there is some remnant of our past, and we all have pretty different accents from one another. I also love our food and how we celebrate our holidays. What I dislike is our passive aggressiveness, and how starved of philosophy we are. We as a people kinda half arse our reasoning for things, and are quite gullible. Right now, every problem is the immigrants fault, even though our biggest problem are schools, the economy, and healthcare. None of these are caused by poor immigrants, but rather the rich and powerful. But the rich and powerful blame immigrants, so we blame immigrants.

I also love all the old folklore we have. There is a lot of it.

Hi, I'm SwedishDwarf. As my username suggest I am swedish. To be more specific, I am (probably the only person here) from Gotland, the biggest island in the Baltic Sea. As one might guess, growing up here made me very interested in history, more specifically medieval history. Even more specific, viking age stuff. It's something I could discuss for days. Beyond that I'm also currently invested in mushrooms. I'm planning a trip soon with an expert, and am hoping to learn more as I am rather new to picking mushrooms. I also like food, both eating and making, and I also like whisky. My favorite is Laphroaig 10 years, as it was the first whisky I gained an understanding as to why whisky is amazing. I also am trying to get into Warhammer 40k. I have listened to and read some books and podcasts about it, and currently own a few AdMech minis, that I'm gonna paint as soon as I have the materials needed. I have to mention I like philosophy, and am currently working through Hegel with a friend. We are nearing the end of the book "Phenomenology of the Spirit" which has been quite the read.

As for work, I am a teamleader/manager in food production, more specifically eggs. I work with packaging, and it's not super interesting, but if you have egg related questions, I can probably answer them.

I'm a father of a two year old daughter, and it's the most wonderful and tiring thing to have ever happened to me.

Same here. Panic attacks and anxiety. I simply stopped having the energy to care, so I just said "to hell with it". Within a year I had met my now mother of my child. Seven years and still going strong. It was as if my complete disinterest in pursuing anyone made me seem confident and secure. I met my partner just as I came back from backpacking by train in Europe for 3 weeks. She had just started working at the same place as me, and I thought she looked cute, so asked her for coffee after one of our shifts. After that first date I started to care again. But it was as if my first uncaring nature didn't make me too desperate, or too eager for it to work, but rather made it so our interest in one another grew in unison. Simply because I was too fed up with rejection and just said "fuck it, I can't be bothered, I don't care", and quit trying to date anyone.

Excellent analysis! But I will add that For Honor never was a traditional fighting game, which is good. Let me explain. For Honor tried to be a bit more grounded in it's fighting from other fighting games. Compared to the likes of Smash Bros and Tekken, For Honor have characters with more "realistic" moves. This meant that you can't have these over powered finishing moves that you build up to. Much like real life sparring, For Honor centers around making your opponent fuck up. Here we have the true power of unblockables; they serve as 50/50s. You either parry or dodge the unblockable, or you prepare for it being a bluff. If you are wrong, you take a hit. If you dodge and the unblockable was a bluff, you get guardbroken and hurt real bad. This is the core of For Honor. It is much more about strategy than learning moves. Sure, at top level it is all about the meta. But for 90% of players it's about trying to outsmart an opponent. The most popular gamemode is Dominion (4v4), which adds another layer of strategy, cappung zones to win. You can get 15 kills, but still lose because you didn't play the objectives. Fighting is just a mean to achieve victory of the objectives, but the objectives are the goal. For Honor is unique in this regard, and while it isn't a very good fighting game, and I wouldn't call it a good game, it is fun. It still is alive seven years later, with more to come. I have a hate/love relationship with it, since it is a broken, buggy, and unbalanced mess, but by the gods do I have fun. With 1280 hours in game, I can't say I hate it, just that I hate myself for loving it. It is the imperfect synthesis of games like Chivalry and Mordhau, and games like Tekken and Smash Bros. This is why it isn't a good fighting game, and neither should it be, because it isn't a true fighting game. It is its own beast.

I have played on and off since release, and the defensive meta is gone. Against some characters it is better to try and turtle against, but generally most characters benefit from attacking rather than defending. A year after release they made it so parrying didn't guarantee a guard break, but rather parrying a heavy attack confirmed a light attack, and parrying a light attack guaranteed a heavy attack. This along with changes to some characters made it more viable to attack in a lot of scenarios. The game is better in that regard today I would say. But yeah, the first year was...interesting.

For Honor is having a free week(end on August 3rd) and have also released a new hero, the Ocelotl.

The Ocelotl comes equipped with a Macuahuitl club and Tepoztopilli spear, using these to have infinite chained attacks, and a few bash attacks. He is a hybrid, described as a ganker and disabled. His feats makes it so at tier 1 when he dies, he can move in spirit form and respawn wherever after 10 seconds, but with very little health. The longer you wait to respawn, the more health you have. The tier 2 is a complement to this, so the enemy that killed you is marked, and tier 3 increases attack speed and damage done, after you kill someone. Tier 4 is a spear attack, which drags an enemy towards you and inflict bleed.

I have tried the new hero out and overall, finds him relatively balanced. While his feats adds a new form of stress, his actual moveset is okay. It isn't stupidly OP, nor is it weak. It's pretty smackdabb in the middle, imo. Also, his feats are an inderect buff to heavy heroes, as boosting a zone is important, so the Ocelotl doesn't respawn in you back zones. This makes it so heavies can more easily build up renown (they gain extra renown from boosting), while also adding surprise attacks. All in all, I like playing against the Ocelotl (as I main Warlord, and like boosting) and I also like playing a Ocelotl.

Exactly. Lizardmens heroes are also really cool, and really powerful. Having a saurus veteran on a carnosaur is amazing. What time zone are you in? I might be up to play co-op if you want (and I have the time. Having a two year old really cuts down the free time aviable).

Yeah, I love Lizardmens army, but hoo boy, their faction mechanics need to be reworked. I'm okay with Ying and Yang, but their faction mechanics feel lackluster. It feels like they were the testing ground for new mechanics, and are therefor somewhat half-baked. But yeah, DE is just half naked HE units, with less fun mechanics.

Ah, haven't been on reddit since June, so am kinda lost on news updates. Reddit Total War sub was a shitshow a lot of the times, but it had a lot of good info.

It's hard to narrow it down, most factions are fun and interesting. My top three have to be Dwarfs, Skaven, and Chaos Dwarfs. Empire is really fun as well, as is all the chaos factions. It's easier to say which are the most boring factions; Lizardmen, Cathay and DE. Love the units of both Lizardmen and Cathay, but the faction mechanics are just...bland. Same with DE, but I also don't like their units.

Do you know when the next DLC will release?
