Comment on Humble Monthly is becoming Humble Choice - More games each month, no mystery, choose which to keep in ~games

If you're required to choose which games you want, Humble can cut costs by not giving away keys that will never end up being played in the first place. An example being that I received Cod WW2 in this month's bundle despite having no interest in ever playing it. A big change in a subscription model such as this tends to be announced under the guise that it will benefit the consumer, when its true purpose is to improve the bottom line of the business providing the service.
Although I'm not thrilled with this new plan, I can understand why a change like this would be put into place.

They can still scare me, but that is the reason why I am playing in the first place. Amnesia, to me, wasn't scary after I became familiar with my surroundings.
But then there's Subnautica, which isn't meant to be a horror game in the slightest, yet I cannot manage to get far into the game at all before succumbing to my fear of open water and hitting alt+f4. I've tried several times to play it, but as soon as I'm required to travel far away from the starting area I give up out of intense fear of what lurks below.

I'm speculating, but I would say that he felt pressured to not only redeem himself but also reinvent the gameplay to become something unique that stands out from the dozens of other survival/voxel-style games out there. This just made a recipe for disaster which is how we got this as the final product.

What are people's thoughts on this? I have personally been using uBlock for nearly two years now and as a developer myself I feel like I let my guard down and blind-sided. While it wasn't my money being stolen, it is still upsetting to me that I could have been indirectly helping Charlie Lee generate a profit by stealing a portion of the money I've spent online.

Comment on Humble Builder Bundle - featuring Portal Knights, Bridge Constructor Portal, and others in ~games

My biggest gripe was how slow everything seemed to progress. Slow and restrictive movement along with very little sense of progression made me uninstall after only an hour of play time.

I came to this website due to how Reddit has become not only an advertiser's haven, but a site nearly entirely consisting of either biased, inappropriate, racist, or misogynistic discussions where only the popular opinions in the specific subreddit would be upvoted and visible. It became an echo chamber. And the reason I am saying this is because I am certain many others from reddit also share this opinion and only remain on the site because there is nothing better that they know of. So having exposure on reddit in order to gather people that are tired of what the place has become is in Tildes' best interest, and to think otherwise is in my opinion very unfair and hypocritical.

It is an engrained part of American culture, and is not as simple as just outright banning assault rifles or magazines that hold more than 12 bullets.

NCSoft has done little in attempt to get themselves out of this hole they've been digging for the last decade.
I'm glad you posted this, as this is something I've been pondering on for the past couple of weeks. More specifically, how a text editor differentiates key presses from text when working with abstract characters or other languages. What I found most interesting was something that I hadn't put a lot of thought into, which was how a text editor behaves when a single line contains two different languages that read from opposite directions. For some reason I found it fascinating how, when starting from the left, moving right, and highlighting a line containing an English word followed by a word in Arabic using the arrow keys, that once the Arabic word is reached, the carat will jump to the right side of the word (the beginning) and highlight from right to left while still pressing the right arrow key.
Hopefully that made sense. I'm a very poor typer on my phone and tend to have rambly sentences due to me constantly losing my train of thought while I concentrate on the placement of my big thumbs.
