I think I was trying to say that posters should be given the benefit of the doubt, and good intentions assumed until proven wrong. However, I know that’s incredibly naive and probably difficult to do on a large scale.
I do agree with you and recognize that drama is the last thing anyone needs.

I have very little control over my life. I suffer from chronic pain and a variety of chronic illnesses, and I have no idea how I’m going to feel day to day, or even hour to hour at times. I have become pretty good at distracting myself: an audiobook and one of my crafting hobbies, or music and something that requires a bit more thinking.
When I’m feeling truly overwhelmed tho, like I’ve gotten unexpected news or something like that, I shut myself away and I research. I read everything I can find on whatever the problem is. It might not change the outcome, but at least I don’t have to wait for someone else to tell me what the options or possibilities are. Knowledge is power.

I think he does it to help him get food on his fork because he doesn’t know how to use a knife, and to clean up the extra sauce on his plate.
He only eats pizza, cheeseburgers (plain), spaghetti, peanut butter and jellies.

I bought a cedar chest to store it in a couple years ago, but it needs some repairs (broken hinges and a couple other things). Unfortunately, I don’t think my entire stash will fit in there anymore.
In my defense, I did get a large portion of my stash second hand at an amazing price, and most of the rest on sale.

Between the rubbish we tell everyone about Christopher Columbus (a holiday in his f-ing name) to Disney’s Pocahontas, and so, so much more.
My mom’s been really into genealogy research lately, and she found out that her dad’s uncle was registered on the Dawes Rolls, and she was really excited and talking about all this stuff she’s learned. Turns out she didn’t know Native Americans were enslaved by European colonists, nor did she know about the horrors of Native American Boarding Schools. If it’s just now, this generation, that people are starting to listen and open their eyes to atrocities of this magnitude, what other horrors have been left out of the history books? And, perhaps more importantly, how do we even start to make up for them, or for being part of a society that turned a blind eye to them for so long?

Each state along the Colorado River was awarded a certain amount of water per year to be distributed amongst its farmers. But the sum of water per year being divided up between the states was too much — on purpose — and completely ignored the Navajo to begin with. This has contributed significantly to the Colorado River Basin water level dropping an enormous amount.

She does give the example of several universities’ “harmful words lists”, but lists only absurd examples like the phrase “take a stab at”, to use “content warning” instead of “trigger warning”, and not to use the word “submit”.
I don’t infer good things about the author’s stance on trans rights based on her use of the podcast featuring JKR as a source for the Tumblr v 4chan info. They didn’t even mention the controversy surrounding JKR. I’m also not sure how you can mention 4chan without talking hate speech and gun violence.
