    Need for Speed Heat

Every game from the franchise tends to be re-playable for me. I have a weak spot for 2012 though that unfortunately hasn't received a modern port yet. Hot Pursuit was absolutely amazing on the Switch, but Heat just has a certain excitement that comes with the nighttime future. You can race during the day legally for cash and at night for points to level up. Those points however get lost when you get arrested. During night, the more you race and the more trouble you cause, the more the police want to catch you. So there is this whole idea of going "Shall I risk it for more or go home?" Sometimes you do get caught, and you have these frantic chases, knowing sometimes you just messed up and you're going to loose, but you keep on pushing hoping the AI has some sort of mercy.

    They never do however.

Most of the police systems in NFS tend to be rather easy or the risk of loosing it all isn't that much of a focus. In this game however, they will truely be a threat. Unlike GTA or any other of numerous sandbox games that have certain weak spots for police, I haven't found an easy way to lose them. Not a way to try to cheat the system in a way.

And it's one of the rare games my wife likes to view since she likes the music the game has.

I have started up Star Wars Visions again. I dropped it a year ago in the middle for season 2 for reasons I don't quite remember but it's been fun. Once I'm fully caught up. I'm planning to watch the standalone series Ninth Jedi I believe. I do hope Disney continues these animation projects for the franchise. It's so much fun!

I have owned the 4, 5 and the 6. While I wouldn't say I regret any of my purchases (Worst was the 6 suddenly removing Desktop support so you can't connect it to a monitor easily. Which I think is kind of bad for a company that prides itself on caring for the environment. Since using your phone as a laptop seems kind of a good idea for that.)

It has had a few really annoying bugs. My 4 had a issue for months where the microphone wouldn't function. With the support page stating that they didn't have a date for a fix (A few months before the 5 was released.) and the 5 had this weird issue where the touch screen wouldn't function and I had to put it into sleep. The 6 for me has been smooth so far however.

For me, the ability to just repair it without giving it away to a shop is amazing. The phone I had before the 4 was a Samsung one which had broken and when returned, apparently had a polish motherboard replacement since the boot up screen and standard apps had been changed. I could have made a fuss about it, but it's really annoying using a different phone while you wait for those repairs so I didn't.

Licensing can be such a annoying issue for companies I imagine too. Like what do you mean I can only watch the Japanese or French dub of Fullmetal on Netflix? It makes it all such a complicated mess.

I have been playing a fan translation of Spice and Wolf on the Nintendo DS. It was supposed to be more of a joke as I played it around friends the first time since anime adaptation games tend to be hit and miss but it has got a surprisingly fun game loop where you buy stuff for cheap in one village and sell it for profit in another. It has got a time limit but I'm not sure of if it's very difficult to fail. I could look it up but part of these kind of DS games for me are that I know next to nothing about them usually. I think I am gonna read the light novels.

I have started playing the Hundred Line Last Defence Academy again and it's been rough. The writing quality is often great but I'm now in what I think is called the Comedy Route and it just feels like the writers are running a bit out of ideas? In the game there are sections called Free Time where you can train or talk to other characters. They are for the days where there is no plot because they are usually waiting on something, but now it just keeps happening and I just want to see story content- it's weird because in other routes they would just go "oh yeah you fell down stairs and skipped 20 days" but now apparently they want me to just do nothing for 20 days

I watched the first couple episodes of My Adventures with Superman and it's been surprisingly good. I honestly have never been really into much superheroes, I think the most I did was watch Spiderman a couple of times, the RWBY Movie and I felt satisfied. Especially with how cliche Superman seemed to be, I thought the media he had would mostly be generic.

The show so far reminds me quite a bit of Voltron but in a positive way, sure the animation can be a bit iffy sometimes but the characters are really good and the show has given me and my partner a lot of laughs. Might end up checking more DC stuff after this, since I only really watched Marvel stuff so far.

If Starfield had released during the One generation I would have surely bought it on release for full price, with the current generation I just bought gamepass for a month, had fun with it for a week on my tablet with streaming and left it at that. It's almost weird how easy it is to play new AAA games like it.

So a while ago there was an announcement trailer for a non mainline game of Rune Factory called Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma. At the time I was a casual fan of the series but I quickly forgot about it because the release date seemed so far away. I really don't get hyped about stuff unless a release date is revealed to be soon.

So I have been on vacation this month (with almost no internet) and while waiting for my partner to do something, I was scrolling through the Switch News app and I came across an ad for it and it looked surprisingly interesting. It gave me an interesting choice. I really like Rune Factory and besides 2 screenshots, a introductory post and a faint memory of the trailer. I could get this game without my usual researching it for days to see if it's worth it. I just could get it and play it blindly. I can't remember the last time I did something like that to be honest.

So luckily I managed to find a copy in a supermarket. Suprisingly only for 45 euro, which was a big relief at the time because downloading it on the internet was just something I didn't want to do.

So onto the game itself, and my blind experience with it.

So far it has changed quite a bit compared to RF5. I never got far in that game, the switch port runs pretty poorly and it has got that 3d jank as the first 3d game of the series. The biggest change is the farming aspect of it. What used to be something you did only as a player, is changed into something you can assign your villagers to using the village management aspect of it. You can still do it manually but I don't see why you would do it specifically. I'm not sure which option I like better in the end. To be fair to the developers, in my opinion the farming aspect did not change much from RF3 to RF5 (I mean it is fun and I don't see a way to make it even more fun tbh) and I would say all of the other improvements are definitely upgrades.

In my experience as well RFGoA runs way better on the switch, unlike RF5 I would say that playing the switch version is not shooting yourself in the foot.

Then there are the characters, this is the most fun aspect of a blind playthrough. I don't know who to expect out there and so far I would say I like all of them. I don't know if there is a child making aspect like RF5 either at this point of the game but there are romance systems in place that I can see but haven't experienced.

The combat and exploring elements are definitely the biggest upgrades, the combat is not something I would say is challenging, in the end you can just upgrade yourself through most problems by just farming gold with your village but it is really fun. You got alot of weapon variations, special attacks and if you manage to dodge an attack you can flurry rush the enemy. Which results in being able to take on pretty high level enemies if you know how to avoid the attacks which is really fun! Once I got so close to taking someone out way above my level but I got cocky and paid the price for it.

I'm not sure how much there is left of the game to beat, again especially with my rule to not research this game in any sort of way online has been so fun. I do want to make a proper review once I'm done with it.

Recently I have gotten interested in writing fanfiction again with the game Fire Emblem Engage and while I was researching its lore I found out that the manga adaptation changes a lot of things for the better compared to the game. So it's been really interesting to read! It's weird though how there isn't an official English translation

I started Last Defence Academy and its been surprisingly good, I really had my doubts about the game but the story is pretty interesting and the gameplay is what most surprised me, despite not really offering a way to grind, it manages to be challenging but not impossible. It really does combine the best Kodaka and Uchikoshi has to offer. It's such a long game as well, and I can really see the improvement in character writing when compared to either Danganronpa or Rain Code. I am nowhere near to completing the game but I already wanna try to complete all of it.

I have got a Fairphone 5 which has got a removable battery and while I do really like the feature, I do see why it's not as popular anymore. Though personally for me it was the greatest reason for getting the device, the ability to not worry about battery degradation is huge for me but still, the chance that companies like Apple start having batteries like that again is minimal
