programming.dev, and on Mastodon I started by following some people I know from FOSS (I’m one of the staff at Catppuccin, so I’ve met lots of similar people there), then just followed certain people they followed or boosted, and worked my way up. It’s more effort than say, Twitter, but that’s because I’m curating my own feed, as opposed to an algorithm doing it for me. -

It’s reminiscent of a simpler time. There is no “general” thing going on in the Fediverse(at least, in the Mastodon portion) everyone kinda chooses who they want to hear from.
