It's relaxing for me. I don't take it too seriously and just have fun with it. There's the whole fishing thing, the farming aspect with the animals and all, cooking, the weather, there's lots more to do than search google for what to do next and mine in a very "barebone construction combat system".

I was finding that many online games were becoming way too competitive for my tastes and, as I'm getting older, I've been drawn to a lot more of the farming/grinding type games. I've been playing a lot of No Man's Sky lately on PS4 and am enjoying that a lot.

There is no particular reason why it's appealing to me, it just is. Typically when I have difficulty understanding why thousands and thousands of people like something and it is taking up space in my brain, I think about changing the way I am thinking about it and maybe learning a little more about it before making my decision.

Looks good, I bet you can pop wheelie's for days with the added weight in the back, although probably not recommended. I'd love to see the pics of the trip, I hope the rest of your trip is awesome!

I wish my personal beliefs didn't effect my listening preferences as much as they do, I really did like some of his older stuff

That's awesome that your insurance will cover that stuff. Another great book for meditation is called "10% Happier" by Dan Harris. He also has a podcast. I know you didn't ask for more (or any)...

I know you didn't ask for more (or any) recommendations, but I love discussing/sharing this stuff.

For sure, you can get it on every console + PC! I was being a bit facetious, but it really is a fun, addicting, grinding game that is pretty mindless/relaxing for me and I think it's like 15 bucks...

Are you carrying all your gear with you or do you have places to stay along the way? If you do have all your gear on your bike, any way we can get a pic?

I also love the book The Tao of Pooh if you are interested in Taoism, mindfulness, being present etc... I work in mental health and recommend this book to people all the time.

In my humble opinion, just meditate, any way you can, these are just things I like!

12 hours was a pretty good fit for me during my undergrad. I managed to start my graduate degree in the same month that my first child was born and I would NOT recommend that, although we all survived and are doing OK. I think if you're able to do a lot of your studying at work that you may be able to pull of 3-4 courses per semester. Maybe try to leave the more difficult classes to the 3 course semesters?? I also highly recommend taking 1 or 2 courses during the summer.

It might be overwhelming at times, but just the fact that you are planning to not be overwhelmed means that you probably won't be. In theory.
