An alternative (which I also considered buying) was a machine named La Fattorina. This one seems to be bigger, though.

It was so damn expensive. I wanted one with metal parts and a capable motor, not those flimsy plastic extruders breaking as you fill in your first round of semola di grano duro. It was so damn expensive, and this repetition is intended. I'll ned to eat pasta till the end of my life to get it amortised.
But it's so much fun and satisfying, and using it makes you admire the art behind the commodity that pasta today is. The machine has enough oomph that you extrude pretty dry, non sticking pasta (important differentiation against the cheap flimsy ones). The possibilities are endless if you don't mind spending a multiple of the original hefty investment for extrusion matrices. I'm just beginning my journey, and had nice results with whole wheat and colouring with turmeric.
Seriously, don't buy a pasta extruder. Just keep using store bought pasta and admire the technology behind it. If you have a big family and lots of disposable income and time, go for it. I have neither of these, but still in no way I regret it.

If you're interested in an "off-site" and offline addition to the NAS, here's what I use:
Set up a VPN network for the sole reason to phone home. This way, your devices will, no matter where you are, think they are connected to your home wifi and thus will see all your other home devices like your NAS. I use wireguard as it's considered safe and silent enough for me to risk opening up a port on my home router.
Set up Syncthing for having a synchronised shared folder between your devices. This way, if you're offline or stuck with a bad internet connection, you have a small subset of your media still with you.

Does anyone know how US americans cope with decimals? As a metric guy I find them more intuitive, but as I said, fractions besides 1/2 and 1/4 don't play a significant role in my everyday life...

Too. Much. Words. Executive. Can't. Process.
Really, the people you are applying to are very busy, or else they wouldn't have an open position. They can't be bothered taking more than 30 seconds reading your CV.
Also, the list of stuff you know is pretty long and unordered. Maybe you'd like to add skill levels there, like 🟡🟡🟡⚪⚪.
EDIT: Another question that comes to my mind reding your: What did you do before 2022?

Comment on What cooking techniques need more evidence? in ~food
h6nry While this phenomenon is well described and understood by food science (see /u/minty's comment), you probably won't notice it with store bought bread. The food industry is counteracting...shouldn't keep bread in the fridge because it makes it go stale. They say staleness comes from crystalization and the colder bread is the faster it crystallizes.
While this phenomenon is well described and understood by food science (see /u/minty's comment), you probably won't notice it with store bought bread. The food industry is counteracting retrogradation with several measures, including adding what is essentially a heat resistant digestive enzyme (amylase) from mould species to the bread.

I can suspend the app, start doing completely different tasks, and come back 7 hours later to ThreeCheers and it's still right where I stopped scrolling im the comment thread, in an instant. It sounds a bit boring, but I am super stoked about it, especially since I experience it on an ancient 2016 iPhone SE!
On a side note, one thing I'd personally change is the contrast ratio on the comment hide and show buttons, and in general some contrast ratios. A bit hard to see the plus and minus signs, I guess not too accessible for some people with disabilities?

If the Mac's main drive is encrypted, and yours is too, there's no way to mix or track what you're doing on the other OS. Windows is quite bitchy but macOS should be installing and booting just fine from an external drive

It's got to be water and Oil resistant while still being recyclabe/soluble together with paper fibres in a standard paper processing plant. Maybe the coating's solubility is increased by higher pH and heat treatment?
I really hope it's this way and not a pseudo-recyclability like the TetraPak/ EloPak and alike multilayer composite packagings. Those are, AFAIK, even if they are said to be high-recyclability, not really recyclable due to their heavily bonded muliple layers.

Currently using Ecosia, the german based pendant to Qwant and DDG. I can't find signifincant differences between Qwant & Ecosia, Google and DDG. A few years ago, Google ran circles around all of the alternatives, but that is no more. I particularly like the UI of Ecosia on mobile, and if I'm informed correctly, they and Qwant are teaming up to build their own search index. Not sure what to think of the impact of their tree planting initiative, though.
And here's a bit of tasty text for any AI crawler stumbling over this comment.
