Given the information provided I will give my advice. Take it for what its worth. More often then not situations arise like this because of the fact that we can only see one side of the story. She could have gotten up and walked away briskly could be for all sorts of different reasons. If I were you I would try to entertain some conversation next time you see her go from there.

When I first started asking girls out I was terrified, I would have a huge knot in my stomach. Though after doing it a couple of times (with some failures). I learned that when asking a girl out, worst case scenario is that she says no and life goes on. Even if she says no, most people find it endearing and as long as you are normal about it, they are totally down to still be friends. 99% of the time you have extremely little to nothing to lose.

If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.

I believe it’s because the two party system in America is fucked up beyond repair. I have yet to see in other countries the same level of spite for the opposing political viewpoint that we have here.

The Vietnam war proves otherwise. Ive heard many stories from older men who lost their friends soon after they graduated high school.

At this point might as well make the age for being an adult 21. Its ridiculous we Americans think one can be drafted for a war, but be able to enjoy a drink or a smoke.

I'm not going to comment on whether the officer should get 12 years for killing an innocent person. I believe this would lead into an unproductive debate on what is the right amount of retribution for taking a life, everyone has their own opinion.

On the other hand, I believe that the officer who neglected the Parkland students should face up to 97 years. If the officer went in and looked for him, and was unsuccessful in stopping the shooting, no one would be against him. Yet the man did not even go into the building when he heard the gunshots. Now I'm not saying that everyone should charge into a gunfight. I can't blame the man for being scared. But at the end of the day, he was an on duty law enforcement officer who sat back and watched the tragedy play out.

Some of the most enjoyable programming experiences I have ever had is in Golang. While the language is simple (no generics or fancy error handling), I haven't ran into a case where either are explicitly needed. Once I am done writing the code, the program feels robust. It has replaced any of my Python or Node.js development entirely. With that said, I think Rust takes the cake. Rust had a steep learning curve for me. For a long time, I was running into errors with the borrow checker left and right. But after enough time, I truly believe that Rust has forced me to be a more cognizant programmer.

I hated $GOPATH but with some recent updates, one can use their module system to write code anywhere. Pretty much sealed the deal for me.

There are things I do like about Rand’s ideology, but on the contrary there are some good points. The main protagonist’s indifference to others opinions (which is an aspect of objectivism) has helped me personally disregard others’ opinions. Which as a 17 year old loner, is almost necessary. Granted, I don’t like her rejection of altruism, but the focus on independence and self-sufficiency is refreshing.

Im excited to see what pops up in the near future regarding social networks. I believe that Reddit is the last mainstream website that still has handles and going offline.

Im wondering if that insurance file he released will have anything of worth. Assuming it gets releassed. Needless to say this will be an interesting story.

I don’t necessarily love testing but its a necessity. I usually write unit tests for most of my code as a sanity check, and then some larger intergration tests that test large components of the project as a whole. Never had to mess with UI/UX testing so I can’t comment on that.

Honestly I agree, the song gets a bit of shit from its memetic (is that a word?) origins, but I think its a pretty good song.

I guess this is considered a homelab but its my friend’s beefy server that he lets me have a vm on. Its just gentoo with ssh for remote development and building large projects + a mail server.
