    Not necessarily. The market crashing a given? Sure, but when? Because/if trump get's impeached? That depends a lot on whether or not pence would keep things as they are, or change things...

    Not necessarily. The market crashing a given? Sure, but when? Because/if trump get's impeached? That depends a lot on whether or not pence would keep things as they are, or change things slowly/radically. Or it could just crash because it was going to do so anyways. I don't think anything really bad happened because of clinton's impeachment, so being impeached is not necessarily a death knell for the market.

    What makes it worthwhile to me is that I share the sentiment. Neoliberal policies have led to increased inequality, decaying public systems, and the demise of trade unions. Do I have a solution? No, not really. I'm not well spoken or educated enough to really even propose any other way, but I don't think I'm alone in thinking that the best way forward for people is not taking away rights and power from people and further dividing them for the sake of some rich guys high score.

    The paper itself doesn't really have any substance other than the title, which is just to get a rise out of people. I posted it because it's an academic paper with a title that made me chuckle, and I figured it'd start some sort of discussion, which it has.

    Been here a few days, but decided to pop in and say hello. I'm /u/pHorniCaiTe on reddit, and pretty much everywhere conceivable. I haven't really had time for any real interaction on reddit in a while because of modding, which has led to just a general apathy of reddit's community. So far I'm enjoying the time I spend lurking and posting here a ton, and hope to stay active for many years to come.

    Personally I think the box should be removed altogether, and a "Reply" link be added to posts instead that function the same way they do in comments.

    I would like to see this type of content allowed eventually. Now is not the time for it though. I do think at some point once we're seeing posts with 100+ votes regularly, it might be time to think about adding ~humor or ~fluff or other low-effort type tildes, but I think doing so now will only be detrimental to the site.
