I just finish children of dune (book 3). I hope you enjoy your journey! The 1st book has A LOT of jargon that it doesn't explain and you just gotta use context clues to figure it out. If you search up a glossary, it often has spoilers. I suggest you make your own glossary and fill it in as you go. I have a few friends who did that and it really helped their enjoyment.

The game is beautiful and I love the sound design. The story is interesting but didn't grab me. After big climbing sections, there are little ledges where the player just looks out. I use the moments to do some deep breathing and really feel my progress. It makes me feel more connected to the world, character, and myself.

Overall the game is shorter (less than 10 hours). I hope you enjoy it and it helps bring you peace like it did me.

If you want a more survivor style show, my household loves MTVs the challenge. The basic premise is teams of 2 compete for a cash prize in a season-long competition. The competitors live in a house together during the show. The twist is the competitors had to be on other mtv shows before the challenge. This leads to tons of drama.

Each episode, the teams play the first game. The losing team goes into the jungle. The winner of the game gets immunity from being voted into the jungle. Next there is a voting phase where they vote on the other team to go into the jungle.

What is the jungle? It's an elimination round, a new game they play where the loser goes home. The show often has themes like rivals or ex's.

    Its a fun show.

I do totally hear that about putting problems in perspective. I often have a problem of feeling overwhelmed by things that feel so important.

A trick I use is the 5-5-5 rule.
    What is the 5-5-5 rule?
    Ask yourself 3 questions.
Will it matter in 5 days?
Will it matter in 5 months?
Will it matter in 5 years?

As you go through the questions, it forces you to think bigger picture.

As a graduation present to myself, I got the Akira 35 year anniversary box set. I read it the first time as a teenager and I absolutely loved it. So I've been rereading it, I'm currently on book 3.

Caddy server does it correctly. IIRC Hugo also does it. I have fought for hours with ansible over dumb things like white space and which characters can I use in my regex. I'd rather not do that again.

The Scott Pilgrim comics are amazing. They hold a special place in my heart because I grew up in Toronto while they were coming out and so they remind me deeply of home. Scott Pilgrim for me holds a snap shot of the world I grew up in but with more magic.

Without spoiling it, the ending is different. IIRC it's because the movie was being written before the final book.

Lately I have been using it for advanced autocomplete. I've noticed it's much much better in well known languages like rust. I've been trying it with zig and it often spits out nonsense.

I wholeheartedly agree. I honestly just see this as another ideology to help Silicon Valley workers cope, either intentionally designed to be this way or not. Its easier to feel ok with your company hurting society if you feel like it's needed to help society in the future.

I personally don't see technology going entirely in that direction. I do see technology which is going to be used more and more as a tool of oppression.

Overall though, I can be very pessimistic.

I don't think that is Watergate. Watergate is specifically about President Nixon putting wiretaps into the DNC head office in the Watergate business plaza, hence the name. It also goes into how the people who carried it out were ordered by people close to the president, how it was covered up by the president, and how he lied about it.
