I'm prepared to withhold judgment of this episode until we see the next. I'm hoping there's some twist. But if there isn't I'm going to be super disappointed.

Just found this thread by searching. Man, I'm jealous of your repeater scene! I'm at college in central Illinois, and as you can probably imagine, despite it being a very large campus, the repeaters are 90% older gentlemen from the surrounding rural areas. I can see one of the antennas from my bedroom window as I type this, but it's almost totally dead. I've had one unplanned contact on it, and it's been in my scan list every evening for weeks.

I'm hoping I can convince my two ham friends on campus to form a miniature midnight net with me, and maybe we can find some other younger people to join us. That said, I've dipped my toes in a few conversations on the repeaters with the older folk around here.

In Esperanto, there are progressive, perfect, and prospective compound tenses.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esperanto_grammar#Compound_tense

This allows you to make semi-complex statements such as "I was going to speak" flow like "Mi parolontis" (or more explicitly "Mi estis parolonta").

I actually find Esperanto so interesting because of the fact that it doesn't have that many interesting features. Everything makes sense and is what you would expect to need in a language.

First of all, as for the printing, yeah, it's dumb.

Second, the Prime and Partner lines are known to have bad TIR lens choices. That is, they waste a lot of output by losing it inside the head of the light before it even escapes the front. If you want, I can hook you up with a fellow enthusiast who has a handful of 5-degree and 60-degree versions of the proper lens; this would also solve your complaint about it not being floody enough. :) Only downside is you need to remove the bezel (often involves scratching it by using a wrench) and lose the thin protective lens (the proper TIR lenses are slightly taller).

I did this with my Partner C4 Pro. Works like a charm.

I agree with you; someone with a new body or a massive change to their body is the same person, it's just that their identity will be affected by the change, not that their identity will change into a different, new identity.
