For me it was when I went with my family on vacation to Knotts Berry Farm. My parents gave my brother and I each a set amount of money (I think $10). We went in a store in the park and I bought the first thing that grabbed my attention, a change purse that said Knotts Berry Farm. Mind you, I'm a 5 year old boy that has no use for a change purse. No idea why I did it, impulse I suppose.

My brother took his time and searched the entire store carefully. After looking for a while he found in the back corner they had a toy section. They had GoBots for sale. He got a GoBot. I still had my change purse.

I asked my parents if I could return my change purse and get a GoBot and they said nope. They explained that I made my choice and in the future I should make more thoughtful choices. I'm now in my 40's and my wife and kids regularly reference the change purse story as I'm very careful in researching anything I purchase to avoid another change purse incident. My wife has searched for years to find that stupid Knott's change purse as a memento of our beloved family story.

Love to hear other people's life lessons

Won't say more specifically to avoid spoilers, but that portion of the game warmed my heart and I have replayed the love story developing several times now. As a father of daughters it is lovely to see a strong female character find someone.

Thanks for this info and link to their site. I bought a 6 pack of their sauces to try. I'll report back after I try them.

We have hooked up many of our appliances to wifi, but never done it with the stove and haven't had any issues. One criticism I would make is the timer sound is really quiet (shockingly quiet). We've gotten to the point we really don't use the timer and instead use the microwave timer. Funny enough the wifi on our washer and dryer is what we use to alert us, perhaps the stove wifi would help with that.

I'll second the GE Cafe recommendation. I have the induction convection double oven, but I presume they are all generally the same (the link bytesmythe used is great given the original request)....

I'll second the GE Cafe recommendation. I have the induction convection double oven, but I presume they are all generally the same (the link bytesmythe used is great given the original request). My wife is passionate about cooking and we don't have gas at our house and a professional chef friend turned us on to induction stove tops. After having a couple years could never go back.

Regarding the pans, we had to buy new pans as our original set wasn't magnetic. You do have to make sure the oven senses them or the burner light will just blink at you. Actually good if you are the type to accidently turn on the wrong burner like me

Watching ST:SNW is such a great reminder of how great episodic TV can be. It's like watching a mini movie with the same characters you love each week. It's the only thing my wife and I watch these days that is episodic and it's great to not have to recall all the previous episodes and see how one episode is just one brick in a big wall.

Completely agree! So happy they went back to classic episodic television. Excited to see them try a variety of genres with that format. I know some folks were frustrated they lifted the Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas, but I'd be happy to see them similarly retell some of the classic short sci-fi that many folks likely haven't read. Very excited for Season 2

So happy to see the discussion here, really glad the show is getting traction. Through Season 1 my wife and I were terrified it would be a one and done given no one watches Epic (now MGM+). As for theories, my wife and I have an agreement that we are going to try to avoid predicting what will happen next and just try to take the journey the show is giving us. It's hard to do for us, but we are loving what they are doing

I realize in my 40s now that I got incredibly lucky as my brain chemistry seems pretty easy on me. The thing I do struggle with is stopping thinking about work. It's by far most problematic at night. It's not depression or anxiety really, it's just the inability to stop trying to solve every potential problem that comes to mind. For me I've found success with melatonin and listening to audio books at night (mostly books on science and stoicism). Some nights aren't great, but the worst night now is much better than the worst night a year ago.

Best of luck finding the answers and peace you are looking for!

    This one: https://www.vagarantraveler.com/briefcase-w-backpack/17-in-ceo-full-grain-leather-large-briefcase-backpack-travel-bag-lb17

Great bag, but too heavy to throw in car to run down the street. Then I found timbuk2 backpack. Felt weird spending $200+ on a backpack, but now realize how high quality a backpack can be. Sometimes I think about going back to the leather bag for a while, but it's a pain to switch back and forth.
