You might be familiar with low quality prints from a drugstore chain in the 90s, but images from a 35 mm film camera can look fantastic when printed or enlarged properly. Then consider the fact that a 35mm film frame is much much much smaller than a large format photograph, say on something like an 8x10 (inch) sheet film. It’s not clear to me that even the best digital stills cameras today can compete with the level of detail in a film negative of that size.
I understand that what you are saying is generally true, but it’s important not to forget that your impression of old photographs and their quality is skewed because old photographs are old.
We can also look to the point when digital cameras first became generally available - they looked absolutely awful compared to film.

If the move then, is to make taxes more uniform across larger areas, and then add the requirement, then great. But I don’t know how likely that is to ever happen.
very simple and universal piece of legislation

"Scavengers Reign" eluded me when it released last year, but I was made aware of it after MAX canceled the show in May (Netflix has since picked it up but may or may not put in for more, is how I understand the situation).
The trailer has been posted here but I wanted to check in and see how everyone else felt about it (keep it spoiler free!). Personally I was enthralled all the way through. It has such an interesting blend of Miyazaki-esque "creature-y" world building with more meditative displays of nature and the violence and balance that is integral to it. If that sounds at all interesting I would suggest watching the first of twelve episodes, you will probably know if you are interested or not after it's over.
Here's hoping Netflix green lights more, assuming the creators want to continue. It really could stand as-is with where they left it.

The Higgs boson is a quantum particle in the Higgs field.

Edit: OK got it now, it seems pretty clear so I’m not sure what the roadblock was. I’m all for “their” as the de facto gender neutral pronoun but maybe this is one of the situations where the ambiguity doesn’t help.
