tomatomater LinkFor technological marvel and realism, Cyberpunk looks fantastic. Raytracing hits different with all the neon and LED lighting. For art direction, I feel like Life is Strange: True Colors is...For technological marvel and realism, Cyberpunk looks fantastic. Raytracing hits different with all the neon and LED lighting.
For art direction, I feel like Life is Strange: True Colors is perfection. Just the right amount of fidelity with the right amount of cartoon-ness. I can honestly see myself enjoying every video game with this art direction.

The live action's alternate story is better than the original. The anime fell off after L's death. Near and mello were very uninteresting characters. Light's demise was silly and anticlimactic.
L defeating Light by writing his own name in the death note is a better plot twist and had interesting implications. It also allowed for L Change The World which had its own interesting little story, a bittersweet send-off for L and an "origins" for Near.

You know how people say they come up with the perfect comeback in the shower for an argument they had 5 hours ago? It's as if these characters pause time and think of the perfect reply. It gets obnoxious, especially when the conversation is otherwise without any substance.

tomatomater Link ParentI'm thinking of Civ 5 and 6 specifically. I never increased difficulty either because it's essentially giving the AIs unfair headstarts and that's not an interesting challenge to me. I just see it...I'm thinking of Civ 5 and 6 specifically. I just see it as a sandbox game. Choose a playstyle I like (e.g. strong military, high cultural influence) and see how well it goes. Eventually I just want to conquer the whole world. It does feel like a chore lategame with many cities and units but it's a compromise I'm willing to accept.

tomatomater LinkMario Kart. I just only bought a Switch and was hesitant to buy the game at first but I'm so glad I did. There's so much more depth to it than I thought. Still quite hooked on learning the...Mario Kart. I just only bought a Switch and was hesitant to buy the game at first but I'm so glad I did. There's so much more depth to it than I thought. Just finished one play through of Detroit: Become Human. This game is a must-try if you like narrative games and/or dystopian stories like Blade Runner (the concept is definitely inspired by Blade Runner).
It's really the next level of a narrative video game. The fusion of gameplay and storytelling is unparalleled; it isn't just gameplay + nice cutscenes + branching story by player choice gelled together. It makes popular narrative games like The Last of Us and Life is Strange feel primitive in comparison.
