I really like the series, maybe even because it’s not completely true to the books. Makes it a different story, like it’s told through someone elses’ memory

Silo was recently released on AppleTV. It’s based on a great series of books.

Works on iOS 17.0 beta with mfa. (I know you said iOS 16, but I wanted to give it a try, and so far everything seems to be working perfectly!)

I’ve been using linux as my only os for a long time, except gaming. There are games that just don’t work or are too much work to get going, so if gaming is your main activity for the PC, I suggest (at least to start) dual booting.

I’ve only had hw issues with broadcom wifi and lte. My experience is that if the hw is supported on ubuntu, you’ll have no issues on Pop OS

Every person I know still in relationships met their partners when not looking, same goes for me.

Even if you’re actively searching, I think it’s important to be clear on your intentions - Are you looking for a lasting relationship, something physical, «the one»?

Telling someone you «just met» that you’re looking for a life partner makes them have to imagine if they could spend their life with you which I think makes it harder to truly open up to the experience - It’s often easier to jump in to bed or just hang out and see where it goes.

I suggest looking for a friend and at some point you’ll find a best friend where the romantic attraction is mutual.

That said, I’m eternally grateful for having avoided the tinder dating hellscape that’s apparently become dating.

This game series is the only series I want rebooted. Don’t even amp up graphics or anything, just port it so I can play those awesome games again!

I always hated reading, but I read a few short ones in my mid 20s on a borrowed e-reader, then I found the Red Rising series which opened my eyes to the fact that there are lots of books I could appreciate and to some degree not be too bothered by being a slow and easily distracted reader.

You can usually keep a key functioning for the lifetime of the lock though, so that’s hardly a comparison. Also the alternative has a ton of dependencies, unlike old fashion keys in pinned locks.

I'm horrible at structuring my projects, so there's a path of broken and unfinished things as well as functioning things I'm no longer entirely sure why I made..

The latest at least functioning (but not exactly finished) project is a set of scripts using rclone to back-up predefined config files i find myself recreating again and again.

I spun up an ubuntu lxc in proxmox and set up a basic smb share that I use as a remote for clients and decided on using rclone because you can set up a cloud storage provider as the remote. Setting up the remote to a 3rd party provider was a lot more steps than I want to repeat, so I decided on an smb server as the central server, and to just script the (much simpler) config for smb remotes on each clients. It's really a great tool allowing for some backup redundancy at very little cost.

Which reminds me that it all started as a sidequest because I got annoyed that my various WSL's and VM's didn't have the pentest lab files synced so I was always lacking something or forgetting to push to the repo
