I'm currently going through The Three Body Problem, which seems fantastic so far. I could say it seems to be like Asimov writing a manga, but I'm only 6 chapters in. So far, so good.

Also like cubing the eggplant and stirfrying it with onions, bell peppers, garlic, and cheese - lots of cheese. Great to join accompany some other dish, specially good with meat.

I'm going to recommend this great free resource for web development called JS30 :

    https://javascript30.com/

It's a great set of exercises for adding JS to specific webpages. They provide the HTML and CSS and your job is to make the page functional with JS.

    I recommend for two reasons:
1- As someone else said, learning JS I think is going to be a great asset for the future. You can watch the videos and just repeat what they do and maybe start googling how the stuff works as a kickstarter for learning.
2- The exercises are built around very common functionality in the web, and will teach you about common HTML and CSS designs, as well as give you fresh ideas on things to build for your portfolio. Maybe even just taking the exercises as building blocks for fully functional webpages.

    My 2 cents!

I'm conflicted as can be about all these sort of projects. I'm a victim of the superhero genre exhaustion, and I think everyone can agree there's quite a bit of SW exhaustion going on as well. I'd say
It's more of a "endless spinoffs/extended universe" exhaustion. I'm there to the point that I haven't even seen Andor which is universally praised but I just can't be bothered... I haven't seen Mandalorian season 3, nor almost any other Star War thing for the last year because it's a bit much, I think.

Now, Donald not only starring but writing Lando? That sounds fantastic. I mean, I could be great, I love Donnie! I'm just not sure if I want a Lando thing. Or any more SW crap. I dunno, I'm just so confused about the state of geek culture.

I believe content creator is a good broad term to encompass all of those you depend on social media nowadays for their livelihood. That is essentially what they are making: content., be it video, photos, posts, etc... Creator is a much more formal term than maker, IMO. However I agree that the word 'content' sounds rather hollow, or sterile as you put it. I blame the fact that content is now standing in the spot of what in the past was mostly taken by art/entertainment/journalism, therefore it seems a lot of content is trying to imitate one (or all) of those three, but it isn't really any of them.

While rubber ducking is a legit strategy for solving problems, I don't think it relates to what OP is mentioning. Here, the problem gets solved on its own, without intervention of any kind. Usually, these problema are something that rubber ducking won't help at all, because you need technical assistance to fix it, not just frame your mind differently.

    Hope Game: Fallout: New Vegas

Man I've heard so much about this one... There's just something about Fallout that always eluded me, but it is a franchise that I've always heard of and secretly always kept in the backlog waiting for its turn. Well I guess this is it.
I want to mod the shit out of some Fallout.

Hype Game: For the King from 9. Grab Bag 1

I was going to say Celeste but the example one got it already. Instead I'm going for one that's probably not getting much love. I got For the King in the Epic Store giveaway and I had a wonderful experience with it. I tried it coop mode with two friends and we had a blast. I think it's a simple, straight to the point, yet great intro game for turn based RPG games for those board game lovers such as myself. This game paired with discord makes for a great fun adventure game with some friend. Recommended.

I'm want to add to this list a certain type of gaming experience that isn't really replicable today. From simple clones of old school games, like tetris and snake, to full-fledge plataformer experiences, I'm talking about the games from cellphones of old. Not smartphones, but old brick phones and flip phones from late 90s early 2000s.
I had access to many a mobile back then, and I distinctly remember Nokia phones had excellent games, the most notable of those being Snake, the staple. There where many others, like one red ball plataformer, pinball-likes, arkanoids, poker... You name it. As long as it fit in a tiny 1-2 inch screen, you could play it. Then came the prominence of Java games, where Gameloft appeared as a respectable game developer.
Of course, there's a way to play and emulate those games of old: https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Cellphone_emulators
However, in my opinion, the actual experience cannot be easily replicated because those games where made to be played on those underpowered, tiny devices with actual physical keyboards. Those where not expensive ergonomic gamepads, or large comfortable desktop keyboards. No, you where constrained by the response time of the physical button and the reasonably but still infuriatingly slow OS of those old school phones.
This is the nostalgia talking, but growing up I didn't have access to a Gameboy - poor guy living in Latinamerica - so when I finally got my very own phone at 15, I remember spending hours upon hours pushing away the tiny rubber - sometimes metallic - phone keypads. My happy little gamer self was pleased as hell.
