Apparently the Big Mikes are quite a bit more 'banana-y' than the Cavs, and we're missing out these days on a good banana flavor (dominated by isoamyl acetate)

It may be a situation of an isolated flavor compound being dialed up to 11, where as other supporting ones are missing, like it's the case with Vanillin.
The Gros Michel supposedly doesn't taste like the candy flavoring. There are also people in the comments who have tried it and agree with his opinion, though some say they do sometimes have a hint...

I've been to India a few times and you get all kinds of bananas, to be honest they all more or less taste like banana, I would be really surprised if Gros Michel really tasted all that special.

Archive.is seems to be having issues today, and can't seem to fetch a snapshot for this Bloomberg article. It just keep timing out at one point, and then gets stuck in a loop. The snapshot queue seems to be growing and growing as well, so I think something is really borked.
Anyone know of any other good Archive/Mirror sites? Internet Archive's snapshot didn't get past the paywall. :(
Yeah I tried reader view as well, to no avail. In any case, whatever the problem was with achive.is, it appears to be fixed now, and it managed to finally take a snapshot. So... Mirror, for those...

Special? That's subjective. Different? That is objective, and true.
