Any time I am back in Texas (rarely these days), I pretty much alternate Tex Mex and barbecue as long as I'm there.
Thanks for this, I'll watch later. Just wanted to say thank you for actually posting a comment. I get a bit bored of just seeing a YouTube URL posted with nothing else. Same for any link really. I...

I get a bit bored of just seeing a YouTube URL posted with nothing else. Same for any link really. I tend to just ignore them as spam posts.
If people feel it's worthwhile to post then also say why and start the commentary.

To counter, this is a small website where spam is non-existent. Anyone making a post does so because they believe that the content of the post should be viewed by others and perhaps generate conversation. Making a comment about why the post is worthwhile takes more time (thereby reducing people's desire to post by raising the effort to do so) and will push a discussion one direction that can make differing opinions more difficult to express.
Being that links should be explored prior to going to the comments so the reader/viewer isn't prematurely biased on the content by the person posting it, adding a comment disturbs that process and hampers people forming their own views.

This is just me, but a video with no comments is not a video I'm going to watch just because it got posted.
No one is asking you to consume all of the content either. Between titles of the content posted here in combination with tags, comments are unnecessary to get the gist of a video and if it is...

Good counter points, and I guess I am a bit worn out with click bait and am reading too much into it. But I do think it's nice to have a bit of personality behind a link post.

A video about how history, geography, and culture explain (some) of the regional differences in American barbecue.
