I suppose you can freeze these snails and then sell it on black market or any other non strictly regulated people market. Holiday seasons, demand for delicasy is on a rise, so... Something like that..

Or sell them to the British for the purposes of tax avoidance schemes on office spaces.

I like this. Until there is personal accountability, business people will continue to do the profitable immoral thing.

The council said it had also asked the Insolvency Service to consider banning the directors of these companies from any other future directorships.

The person running that scheme, Terry Ball, worked for and with Napolitan mafia groups in the past. He's literally doing this to fuck over the authorities because he can.

Mafia and the underground criminal organisations change. Plenty of them diversified into legal work, and different crews moved in. For example Moroccan crews run western Europe.

I don't know the current day mafia influence.

Well the guard snails weren't alerted, so I can only assume they lured them all out of their enclosure with treats into a waiting getaway vehicle.

Two abandoned giant snails 'lucky' to survive

Not sure why I feel it's totally okay for 450kg of snails to be eaten, but at the same time feel bad for the pair of abandoned pet snails.

I hope the stolen snails are at least treated humanely before being eating or dispatched / processes / recovered
