    My first thought on hearing that Romero was writing a book about the Doom days was that I had already read that. David Kushner wrote Masters of Doom in 2003, and there were many long articles about the rise and fall of Romero’s time at id Software…

    But with that said. I am a sucker for this game and am generally interested in everything that happens leading up to its development, having had such a pivotal role in gaming and having experienced the gaming revolution of the early 90s.

      I feel the same way, but I feel like the epilogue of Masters of Doom is badly in need of an update about the past 20 years. That said, I'll probably read this as well, because I am also a sucker...

    I'll have to read his book at some point. I've been an avid Doom player and occasional mapper since I discovered it around 1994/95. All the iD Software games have a special place in my heart, but...
