Game: Control Ultimate Edition

Price: $9.99 USD (75% off)

It's a wonderfully trippy game, it will make you go huh, what a bunch, and the visual effects they use are impressive and weird. It may frustrate you too, the gun fighting action can be unforgiving at times, so be prepared for a hard game even with some of the Assist features they added. It's worth getting through it for the story, even as you won't understand it half the time.

You know the specific genre of games referred to as “simulators” that are kinda janky and consist almost entirely of doing chores? This is that kind of game.
I wouldn’t recommend it at full price, honestly, and I’d only recommend it for the specific slice of people who like janky tedious chore games, but if you’re that kind of person, this is a solid buy for such a cheap price. I played it while listening to audiobooks, and it was perfect for that.
I don’t have any of the DLC, so I can’t speak to whether or not they’re worth it, but my hunch is no, especially given their high prices compared to the base game.
As someone who quite enjoys House Flipper, I think the DLC tends to add enough to the game (both in terms of new houses to flip and tasks to accomplish but also new tools and mechanics) that they're generally worth it if you're someone who really enjoys the base game. Some DLC are better than others in this regard but I splurged on them all at once so it's hard to assess which added stuff is from which. The newest one, the farming one, definitely adds enough stuff (like for building houses from scratch, for instance) to be well worth it though, for instance.
Ahh I didn't see this post before but I love it! I wish I could get pinged for just the creation of a new thread in this reoccuring series.
My contribution, Metroid Dread (33% off)!
Probably one of the best Metroidvanias, and flat out one of the top 5??? games Nintendo has put out for Switch.
Seconding the Metroid Dread rec -- easily one of the best games on Switch
If you go to https://www.sega60th.com/register, you can redeem a code for NiGHTS into Dreams. There is some URL weirdness, but according to the /r/gamedeals thread (https://reddit.com/comments/1746tyg) if you do some URL poking, it should help you redeem the deal.
Epic Free Games of the Week!
The first Q.U.B.E. is good but not great, but the sequel is great. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it and thought it was a pretty big step up for the series. The first game ends up feeling a bit like a tech demo in hindsight after playing Q.U.B.E. 2.
You don’t have to have played the first game to enjoy the sequel, so for anyone interested, feel free to skip straight ahead to the second one.
I played the second game and liked it so much I bought the first one.
The first one is so drastically different that I wondered if I made a mistake and bought the wrong game.

This was the fastest I've pulled the trigger on a bundle. I've had my eye on Code Vein (anime Dark Souls), which goes on sale regularly, and I had a passing interest in Katamari Damacy, God Eater, and Tales of Vesperia too, so I got lucky on this one!
I'll try to remember to repost this each week until it expires.

IMPORTANT: This game will be delisted from Steam (and other platforms) on October 12.
I haven't played it, so I can't speak to the game itself (and am breaking my own rule already!). Nevertheless, I figured I'd throw the deal here in case anyone wants to get it on their profile before the delisting. The game will still be installable and playable after it's removed -- it simply will not be available for purchase anymore.
GreenManGaming also has all of the DLC for the game available at the same discount level (90% off):
Meta note: I’m trying a rebranding of last week’s thread. Following @mycketforvirrad’s advice, I tried to give this series a catchy name so it can be filtered independently of other
sale
anddeals
threads. If the name is awful and needs to be rethought, let me know. Also, like before, I’m open to any suggestions on format, rules, or whatnot.
Feel free to mark this comment as off-topic so it doesn’t get in the way of deals.
I love the name, made me smile when I saw it!
