Does anyone have experience with any of the games and, if so, would you recommend them? Is there anything in here that you're particularly excited to play?
Hi-Fi Rush, what a timing. Microsoft just announced today, that they're closing their studio

If anyone is getting Hi Fi Rush, I'd recommend turning off auto-updates for this one. It's inevitable that the music licenses the game has will expire, at which point either there'll be a patch to permanently turn the game on "live streaming mode", or the game will just be delisted.
Hi-Fi Rush is a neat little character action type but with some smart rhythm game elements. It has a great art style and the whole world is groovin' to the beat. Actions are more potent when they land on the beat but it is fairly forgiving. I played the first hour or so when it was released and it's a game I plan on returning to for Backlog Burner. At one point it was on Game Pass, worth checking if it still is.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon curious what people think of this as an entry point into Yakuza games. I haven't played one but I would like to pick up one. Is this a good place to start?
It's one of the two recommended entry point (the other being Yakuza 0). It's a soft reboot of the series, both from a point of view of story (same universe, different main character) and gameplay (the previous one were brawler with some JRPG mechanics, this one is a full turn by turn JRPG). You will be missing out some references, but nothing dramatic.
Argh, I just bought Hi-Fi Rush just a few weeks ago.
I guess my sister is getting a copy for her birthday, then.
I ended up with
You regret buying it
on my Backlog Bingo card, and I plan to fill that square with one of the games I bought that then immediately ended up in a Humble Choice. Is it bad that I have several to choose from? 😆On the other hand, I do like spontaneously gifting bundle games to people, so it's not that bad. My husband is getting Yakuza: Like a Dragon from me this month.
The weird thing about the Yakuza/Like A Dragon series is that they're arguably the best that Modern Sega can do, but I can't get into them because I don't like their "timesink" design. I've technically played most of them, vicariously through my husband. The irony is that he buys the console versions yet I have almost the entire series on Steam thanks to Humble Choice.
I might actually gift this one to my sister, too, but I'm not sure if she has a computer powerful enough to run it. Beyond that the urge to collect is starting to become overwhelming. :P
This is a great bundle! I've been wanting Hi-Fi RUSH since it released, and my husband has been wanting to play Yakuza: Like a Dragon for a while now. Those two headliners are worth the price of admission alone, I feel.
Also, the monthly Choice offerings are helping me appreciate that Humble seems to surface smaller, interesting indie games that I wouldn't have otherwise heard of.
Loddlenaut looks right up my alley -- similar to Island Saver, which I enjoyed as an audiobook game.
I didn't love Milky Way Prince, but I appreciated that it tried to do something different and interesting, so I'm perfectly willing to give Mediterranea Inferno a try. Also, I like that we've reached a point where games with LGBT characters and themes are present in enough quantity and quality that one regularly makes the cut for Humble Choice. It's nice to feel spoiled!
Ugh, you just reminded me that I have had Milky Way Prince in my library forever and had meant to play it forever but still haven't gotten started. I was recently stuck away from work for two weeks, too, and I have no idea why I didn't play any VNs, since it was the perfect time to be able to focus on them.
