For anyone interested in game dev there's the "Learn Godot in 2025" video tutorial series through Humble Bundle: https://www.humblebundle.com/software/learn-godot-in-2025-complete-course-bundle-software-encore
Minimum $25 for about 30 video courses, each a couple hours. I bought it a few months ago and have been thoroughly enjoying it. The instructor does a fantastic job making the Godot editor accessible, where I'd previously found it often daunting even for simple tasks. The pacing of the lessons is very good IMO.
This is honestly great to hear from someone with your incredible knowhow.
I dabbled with Godot for Timasomo a few years ago, but it was beyond intimidating for me. I assumed that was just a lack of my programming knowledge in general, so it’s nice to hear someone so experienced share similar thoughts. I picked up this bundle on your recommendation. Going through the tutorials might be my next fun summer project.
I've been picking at a Godot project, so it would probably be a good thing to hit the books on.
Hey a bit of a late reply but I sorta missed this in December. Is this the same bundle pretty much? It sounds the same but I wanted to check given your glowing recommendation. And now that it's been a few weeks, did you end up finishing it and would you still recommend it to someone wanting to learn Godot? Thanks.
This one seems a little more inclusive than the previous one, or at least not offering the same exact classes as far as I can tell. Mine have been on back burner, so I can't say if it's helpful or not, unfortunately.
That's alright, thanks for the reply! I'll probably leave most on the backburner as well for the time being. But this is something I want to dive deeper into in the second half of 2026, so I figured getting the bundle now might be a good idea.
Yeah I'd recommend it. Looks like it's the same instructor. I'm working through it slowly, around half of the courses.
There's not much overlap in course titles between the new and old bundles, but it doesn't really matter. I think the point is watching and absorbing the common patterns and interactions repeatedly—and the most important tips do often repeat between lessons.

Oh wow yeah, not much overlap at all. Thanks for the detailed info!
There's a rebundle for some great co-op games, I loveeee Risk of Rain Returns, and For the King 1 and 2 have been really well reviewed.

Epic's holiday event, free game #2:
Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel
Next free game in 17 hours.
The mobile freebie is Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate. It appears to be chess with a shotgun somehow? It is dated through the 25th, no mobile daily freebies.
it's fun! i played a bunch of it on PC, I'm not great at chess but there is some chess knowledge you kinda need to know (things like looking ahead to see how pieces will attack and stuff) but the shotgun is obviously a central mechanic.

$12 for a bunch of WB Games including the Batman Arkham games!

2 days for this bundle:

Disco Elysium, both Pillars of Eternity games, and Citizen Sleeper + more for $13 seems pretty good to me! There's controversy with Disco Elysium that I'm not super familiar with but you can make it so most of the money goes to charity anyways.
Silent Hill f is on sale at GOG for $41.99, 40% off. It's a new historical low price, according to IsThereAnyDeal
I haven't heard much about it, if it's good enough to be worth it at that price?
Holiday themed Devolver Published game MINOS: Home A Labyrinth is free to keep! It seems to be a spin off or something, probably a more involved demo of an upcoming game.
