This is a nice game but I was confused for a few minutes when I tried to play it.
The instructions weren't completely clear that the only thing clickable is the on screen keyboard. I wanted to click on the places in the puzzle and then type a letter.
I think you might need a little more visual indication about where you can click.

Googling the solution doesn't really seem to find any one-to-one hits with the phrase, though I will admit that I've never played donkey kong country 2.

The playfield consists of three components. From top to bottom they are:
The status indicators (which include the Category and remaining guesses)
The Phrase of the Day (POD)
The On Screen Keyboard (OSK)
Each gray tile in the Phrase of the Day represent a letter. The outlined rectangles are spaces and are not part of the puzzle.
Click or tap any key to guess a letter. If the letter you guessed exists in the phrase, all instances of that letter will be revealed. If the letter is not in the phrase, you'll lose a guess.
May need to clear cache and cookies or try a different browser to compare. I'll drop a line to Gardiner and see if anyone else has reported issues.

If you are on the page, go into the console (CTRL+SHIFT+I) and then type in window.__game.settings.get("lastDailyPuzzlePlayed"), can you give me what it says?
The other thing you can do is open the game in a private window or incognito mode and try the daily puzzle there. If you've already played that puzzle, then there probably isn't a problem.
Also, the new puzzle comes out at midnight eastern time (America\New_York time zone)
I'm on mobile and I'm not going to spend a ton of time troubleshooting it. It was multiple days of trying. Idk. I'm not even sure if I could open the console in mobile Firefox. It was just weird....

The way the tiles and blank spaces are displayed on my phone is confusing, but it is fine on my computer.
Same. I played yesterday on my laptop and there weren't any issues but I was very confused on my phone today.
