Well, it done grabbed me good. What a cracker of a game! The upgrades and story are really, really well paced so you are rarely at a loss and something is always tantalising just out of reach. It's generally pretty chill, but no doubt there are moments of existential dread, particularly when, like yesterday, I unknowingly wandered into the Void . . .

No, it makes absolutely no difference, cosmically, if I had ever existed.
However:
a) I do exist
b) I believe/understand at some level that I exist in this scheme of things
c) My brain cannot possibly understand the enormity of the cosmos and my place in it
d) I can however experience and enjoy the now, despite "knowing" that I will one day die, but that concept still being alien to me
e) I can try and bring happiness and peace to myself and those around me.What does my head in is that we are so cosmically insignificant and have been given a chance to experience a tiny fragment of this, and so many people are utter cunts.

It was a in a busy pedestrian mall in the middle of the city and we had a huge rear projection screen in the front window playing the "cinema mode" playback of race.. People (most men, and mostly business men, let's face it) would literally walk past, double take, come back and just stare.
They would then come into the store, ask "What game is that?" and we would hand them a Playstation, Gran Turismo, a dual shock controller and a memory card and they would pay at the counter. I am not even kidding. It was like fish in a barrel.

The tenseness of the fights as you wait, switch stances, feel out your opponent and then STRIKE STRIKE, game over.
Or, in the case of me and a mate, me taking out his legs and him rolling around the dojo for ages as I vainly try and end him but keep missing.

Personally I don't recommend staying in Kyoto, but that's just me.
Also, most conbeni food is usually not healthy at all, unless you make a conscious decision to get salad type things, or noodles with basic dressings (not ramen). Most foods are usually high sodium and high calori.

It is very clear that you have a licence that can be taken away at any point in time for whatever reason.
Regardless of the quality of digital ownership, it only exists in the ether at the behest of the gatekeepers. You are paying real money for a thing that cannot be owned.

Digital products, by their nature, are more in danger of this and those sectors have to approach the problem differently. For the most part, they have chosen not to.

Then, made a kludged version of book cloth and cut and bound the cover and attached it. End result, a one off copy.
Next stage is prepping and painting a set of classic D&D character classes for playing the RPG. Fighter, Cleric, Wizard, Thief, Elf, Dwarf, Halfing.

If you make legitimate content fairly priced and easy to access, most people say "fair enough" and pony up. But it's just the endless, endless nickle and diming, trying to squeeze more revenue at every opportunity that just drives people to abandon morality because . . . well, are the corporations being moral? No. Well, then, fuck them.
This could clearly be seen in Australia, a country that had one of the highest piracy rates in the world due to ludicrous prices of physical media, or hamstrung by licensing deals that restricted content. When Netflix finally came up, the piracy rates fell off a cliff because it was EASY and FAIRLY PRICED. Of course, every studio now wants their own slice of the pie and Netflix jacked up the prices, so piracy is on the up again.
People aren't stupid and they know when they are being screwed, and they rightfully feel few qualms about trying to save a few bucks here, when they are being pressed on every side.

Once a year, my friend puts on a red suit
And hangs around with me and my wife
Now I can't help but feeling jealous
Each time she climbs on his kneeAnd she stands beneath the mistletoe, screaming
For him to stand beneath the mistletoe, screaming
Now I can't help but feeling jealous
Each time she climbs on his knee
Why must she climb on his knee?I saw my baby wearing Santa's beard
She kissed him once and whispered in his ear
I saw my baby wearing Santa's beard
I wish he would go
He's breaking up my homeShe always had this twisted side to her
But she'd never drag my name around town
But lately she's been humming cheating songs
And I don't like that fat guy around
No I don't like that fat guy aroundI saw my baby wearing Santa's beard
She kissed him once and whispered in his ear
I saw my baby wearing Santa's beard
I wish he would go
He's breaking up my homeI saw my baby wearing Santa's beard
Thrilling (thrilling)
Christmas (Christmas)
Trembling fearI saw my baby wearing Santa's beard
I wish he would go
He's breaking up my home -

The people advertising the benefits are the only ones benefitting.
Until the people who actually provide labor and purchase things have had enough, it will continue. Give people enough to distract them, or convince them that one day they will have a shot at the ring, and they will vote against their self interests forever.

I don't take my shoes off at most restaurants, but if there are Japanese rooms (tatami), then absolutely.
I imagine at the very least it has something to do with keep the space you live in clean. Given that floors traditionally acted as the place to sit and sleep, who in their right mind would want to do that in a filthy place?
As you say that, culturally deeper, it seems to be a division of spaces. Inside / outside. A place for work vs the private space of home. The fact that you need to take sports shoes off outside and use different sports shoes inside the gym speaks to that, as does things like "designated areas of concrete connecting buildings" being designated as "okay for indoor shoes to walk on" (seen in several of my schools). So, THIS concrete is bad, but the concrete inbetween these lines is clean? Yes.

If Beck says he likes/respects a musician or group, I am willing to listen. It's an amazing story of two brothers who basically stuck to their guns, didn't blow it all during the tough times, and kept at it.
I have since come to love Sparks and their ethos and managed to see them live last year.
Girding my loins to take on building and painting a couple of old MPC Millenium Falcon kits.
The building is straightforward. I will be painting them to look very much like ILM filming models and that . . . that takes a looooooooooooot of effort. You have to be in the right headspace to embark.
