This video of course isn't representative of actual gameplay, but it does showcase some of the game's vehicles, maps, and gadgets. I guess I'm cautiously optimistic. BFV was fine in my opinion, I played it for a while until my friend I was playing with moved on to the next thing, but I kinda missed the gadgets from the modern-era Battlefields. Sometimes I have off days when I can't aim or avoid fire at all, and in BF3 and BF4 I could at least do some good for my team by equipping the mortar or that spotting drone thing.
Nice to see some callbacks to previous Battlefield shenanigans, especially surprised to see the mid-air plane eject rocket launcher thing. Apparently they are forgoing the campaign and battle...

Apparently they are forgoing the campaign and battle royale modes for this game and focusing on seven multiplayer maps. Here's hoping they play to their strengths, and maybe look into a model that's a bit different than the usual $60 AAA game + DLC method they've used before.

64-player Operation Metro was such an unbelievable fustercluck that it's incredible anyone ever thought it was a good idea.
Edit: Frigging awful choice of music to shoehorn into the gameplay trailer.
Ditto about Damavand. It was also one of my absolute favorite maps for flying the Little Bird in, since there was so much shit to hide behind when you needed to, and so many safe places you could...

It was also one of my absolute favorite maps for flying the Little Bird in, since there was so much shit to hide behind when you needed to, and so many safe places you could retreat to if you needed to repair. Mowing hordes of people down in the second phase tunnel was also super satisfying too. :P

BF1 and BFV were both part of EA Access from day one, if I recall correctly.

When I first read it, I mistakenly thought it was Battlefield 2142. Hopefully from what I can tell, this is a prequel to a Battlefield 2143; Pan-Asian Coalition faction can be seen in this reveal...

The century gaps between Battlefield 1942, now 2042, and 2142 make interesting story-lines.

EA Access Pro. After a year, their new games come to EA Access basic but without expansions.

Battlefield 2042 Official Gameplay Trailer just released.
Does this mean it's not on PC?
Edit:
Nope it's on PC. No idea why it doesn't say that.
