The pharmacist just asked if I qualified by having any of the “high-risk conditions”, and immediately followed that question with “if you say no, I cannot give you the vaccine, but we do no checking if you say yes”.

I got my COVID (Spikevax) and Flu shots on Wednesday. Since I have an HDCP plan this year (first time I ever having one of these) and a new insurance carrier, period, I called the insurance company just to make sure these were covered, and they said they were 100% covered. I would've gotten them even if I had to pay for them myself. Scheduled it at a CVS the next day.
FWIW, this was in Virginia. I think was some initial confusion when the FDA "recommendations" came out and different states seemed to be setting different policies. Initially, local folks online said that, for people who wanted the COVID shot in VA, there'd be a form to fill out, where the recipient would have to check a box that they had an "underlying condition," though there was no need to disclose what said condition is. Honestly, being alive seems like a decent underlying condition, to me. But when I arrived at CVS, there was no form to fill out. Even when I scheduled online, there was nothing like that. It was no different from past years.
I had a relatively mild reaction this year (I had no reaction at all last year). Arm was sore as hell, of course. I got some mild body pains and a light fever about 12hrs later. Which luckily was like midnight, so I just went to sleep. But by like 4-5am, the fever was already waning. I was kicking sheets off and taking clothes off because I was too hot. Did take an Ibuprofen and Tylenol on Thurs morning but that was it. Just the slightest bit of tenderness left if I touch the injection site, but otherwise arm is back to full range of motion.

I would probably have gotten a flu shot and a covid shot this year if I didnt procrastinate catching up on my travel vaccines. Leaving on another long term trip again next week (very excited). But in the last 3 weeks I got DTP, JE, Typhoid and a HepA vaccine. Earlier this year I also got a rabies vaccine.
This is going to be very underwhelming: So I travel quite a lot, and I should probably have gotten it earlier anyways. So I was kind of planning on getting one anyways. Especially since this year...

So I travel quite a lot, and I should probably have gotten it earlier anyways. So I was kind of planning on getting one anyways. Especially since this year in Thailand, where I spend a lot of my time there have been rabies cases. Anyways there was this insanely sweet cat at the place where we stayed, supposedly without an owner, and since I love cats and noticed that this cat needed some help, we fed it. We were sadly only there for a couple of days, and it sucks because the accomodation might not want people to feed the cat since it comes back, but I genuinely felt like if I didn't feed it, this cat could also just die. He was very skinny. But super sweet. Well he was in the room, and I wanted to drag him otu since he saw my gecko toy (ok lol this is weirder than I thought) and so I was about to pull him out, my girlfriend wanted to close the door, but he had an insanely long tail, which was squeezed in the door a bit. So he got spooked and scratched me. So I figured since I don't know anything about this cat, and since my insurance will cover it anyways, I might as well get the shots at that point.
We had to leave after a couple of days, and on our way back we purposefully did another stop at that same accomodation to check in on the cat and maybe find someone to take care of him - not sure what we would've done if he felt bad, maybe we would've just taken care of him even though it would be really tough.
So, in the end we arrived at that accomodation and it turned out that the partner of one of the staff took a liking to the cat and he seemed much better taken care of and he wasn't the cuddly cat anymore haha since he didn't need any more food. But he was still very sweet.

Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine - three days of fever up to 102° F, ten days of swollen arm and RA flare joint pain, which is pretty typical for me.
***Early RSV and Pneumococcus vaccinations at the rheumatologist's recommendation since I'm on immunosuppressants.
Honestly, I get vaccines for everything and usually have to have proof to enter hospital facilities for work. I'm just glad only one caused any problems.
I'm due for my part 2 shingles vaccine and my next Covid shot in November. Glad I live in a state that is protecting access to it instead of honoring the worm's decree.

Excellent. Now to see if my godawful health “care” plan will cover any or all of this.

I assume they are referring to the pre exposure rabies shots. Iirc, that allows you need less shots after you've had an exposure event.
I had the post exposure shot! My partner just did get the rabies pre exposure too though (she had rabipur, I had verorab)
