I've been biking to work now for ... about a month? And my legs hurt like, all the time. Just kind of ache. I need to figure out a stretching regimen.

Other than the legs thing, though, I'm loving biking every day! It's relaxing, invigorating, and it's keeping my depression at bay :)

Have you tried rolling out? Stretching is great but using a muscle roller can sometimes be easier to fit time in for.

I have not, I'll have to! I think my wife has one since she runs. I'll use it tonight. Any different than for runners? I'll look up a video too.

Since I managed to lose 25 pounds, I've been struggling to shed more. I've been extending the number of reps per set in my home workout, and adding a few more exercises. This is what I have so far:

    Tues., Wed., Sat.:

120 x jumping jacks to warm up.

    Repeat following 3 times:
    20 x squats,
    20 x lunges each side,
    20 x press-ups,
    30-sec. plank,
    20 x bed lifts,
20 x sitting with back to bed and lifting myself up (no idea what it's called),
    20 x hip bridges,
    20 x sit-ups.

I've started dripping with sweat again, and can see bicep muscles building. No change as of yet in regard to abs, though.

I got to swim last Saturday and boi howdy I was sore after. My stamina has been absolutely shot to shit. This week has been off since my SO and I didn't go to the gym on Monday because of plans and we got home super duper late but we went yesterday for a bit. I'm not sure how much longer we'll be hitting the gym though since uh coronavirus is in Colorado though not yet in my city. We'll probably go on walks or try to see how we can hit the tennis courts. That way we're near less people. No offense to my fellow sweaty gym goers but some people be nasty. And it just adds to the risk. We'll see how it all goes in the coming weeks. Might have to invest in some bikes and cycle to work.

I started doing a calisthenics program on Monday, going to stop going to the real gym because of coronavirus for now. It's really nice so far and can do most the exercises at home. They have a 4 day a week and 6 day a week program, I'm going with the 6 day a week. Hopefully see some good results from it in a few months.

I've walked on my toes my entire life and am just now (in my 30's) doing something about it with physical therapy.

My physical therapist is fascinated with the lack of movement in my lower legs; namely my... tibia(?) doesn't move back and down to make room for my foot to tip up? I guess everyone else's feet do that, but mine don't. Also I cannot-- for the life of me-- do squats or lunges without my heels coming off the ground or my knee not aligning with my toes.

Anyways, the whole experience has been very validating with regards to how much I hate and can't do squats and lunges.

Aside from that, I've got lot of physical therapy homework to do, and this has been the first month I've decided to start going to the gym, which has not meshed will with the whole outbreak thing :(

Fascinating. I bet your calves are pretty huge and you walk quite silently! Good luck on the PT.

Yes. Other byproducts of being a toewalker:

        • My hamstrings are tight AF
        • I can balance pretty well walking across those concrete parking lot thingies
        • All of my shoes eat shit faster than everyone else's on account all of my weight gets pushed into the toe area. It just flattens right out and gets a hole in it within ~3 months. Doesn't matter the brand: XTratuf, Nike, Doc Martins.

Welp, I've stopped going to my new gym due to not wanting to catch the bug going around... I'm not alone in this reaction, I imagine. It's tough to social distance when you want to lift weights, but I suppose I'll just stick to biking and tossing around the one kettle bell I have at home.

I have lost 1 kg (2.2 lbs) in the past week, even though I ate mostly like shit lol I was so ready to just start my 13 weeks over this week but I think I'm okay. I just have to ramp it up a little bit, even though I am aware that 1 kg a week is the sort of max recommendation, I have enough body fat on me that the first few weeks of intense weight loss isn't too big a deal.
