What are your favourite radio stations?

This is just to kick start what I expect will be a very, very, small (if any) conversation to share our favourite radio stations.

I personally still love listening to radio stations, mainly as it's an easy way to find new music from people who understand the genre typically more in depth and more refined taste than myself.

One of my personal favourites is La Jazz Radio by France Musique, no ads, and all types of mostly new and strange jazz from around the world (but mostly, of course France) with a little bit of some old ones thrown in. Their other stations are also equally very good,

What are some you would suggest?

I used to listen to a rock station in my area called "Planet Rock". They played so much good stuff and introduced me to some of my favorite bands, like Incubus and Young the Giant in the early 2010s. They got taken over around 2012ish and the channel got really poor. Recently I found a Sirius station called Turbo that plays a lot of the same hard rock, which has been a big nostalgia hit for me lately.

Loving La Jazz Radio, thanks for that! Great jazz and it's helping me keep my French comprehension fresh.

Happy you enjoy it! I've been streaming perhaps more from that station than anything else throughout the day. Their contemporary and baroque stations are also quite good.

Radio Sidewinder is a in-universe fan radio station for Elite Dangerous. It's fantasic, especially the ads.

For local stations, it's hard to beat the combo of Ben FM and WMMR.

PHAUNE RADIO is a little bug as curious and untameable as the strange sounds it airs 24h/7 on the world wild web and on on your mobile phones: soundscapes from the wider world, bald and hairy music, meetings with animals, archives from the future, eartoys….

Phaune Radio, it’s like night and day. More than 9000 tracks for an handmade airplay : effervescent and tousled during the day, horizontal and experimental from 10:00pm (Paris Timezone).

    For online

I used to listen to Berlin Community Radio a lot, but they went under, which is a shame.

I pretty much just listen to the local NPR affiliate and KLSU, the local college station. On the Internet though, Tilderadio is dope.
