But seriously, this could be fuel for the speculation that Mercedes have signed Max behind the scenes, or whether this will ultimately spur that. It seems silly season has started early this year, and it may be bigger than Vettel's retirement announcement a few years back.
I wonder if Laurent Mekies has what it takes to "get promoted from the junior team", or if it's going to end up like almost everyone else who had that happen.
I think Mekies will do well - he has been with Racing Bulls on and off since 2005 and the team has improved greatly this season with him as Team Principal. My only hope is that Racing Bulls...
