Apologies for the lateness in getting this posted! I had busy day yesterday - didn't even watch Sprint Quali until like 5am today!

As for as the Sprint, what a weird series of crashes with Oscar, Hulk, and Colapinto. One after another, all the same location. Lucky that none of them hit the other preceding crashed driver.

And that Bortoleto crash at the end looked particularly nasty. He even got some airtime. That might be the worst crash of the season. Again, lucky that neither Hadjar or Albon got hit. Though looks like Albon caught some of the debris under his car.

Otherwise, seemed like a pretty boring sprint.

Yeah, that Borteleto crash scared me! It didn't look like he slowed down very much before going into the barriers sideways. Hopefully no injuries!!

i think Lando has this locked in. He’s really consistent and seems to be in the right headspace.

Also it doesn't help Oscar that Max is out here pulling off ridiculous pit lane to P3 drives!

If we still had the fastest lap point, Lando would be another point up on Oscar, but they would have gone into Brazil tied, which would have been more exciting.

Outside of this year, this is what I want for next year: an absolute blowout by Max where he's got the season locked down --- say fifteen races. Then for the remainder of the season, I want him to complete his back-grid-to-podium. He only needs 11, 12, 13, 19, 21, and 22 for next season.

Were there boos again on the podium in Brazil? I thought I heard something, but I'm fairly sure the feed audio gets switched around to not give primacy to the boos, which is understandable. I'm not a Norris fan, but he's been doing what he had to do lately. I think Verstappen is a far better driver - I'm not sure Norris even makes my top three of the current (strong) roster -, but all Norris can do is win in the car he has against his competitors in the car they have.

If he does take the season, I don't think his most fervent haters will be silenced, but it'd be a massive achievement. And I can't see Piastri retaining his "iceman" reputation much longer with the recent bottling.

This next few years will be interesting. I really hope Oscar comes back and crushes it next season. If they have a good car, I kind of want the team to never ask them to swap. Keep your little rule for pitting first, but otherwise keep out of it so long as they're competitive.

For Oscar's sake, I wish we had another year with these regs.

I hoped earlier in the season that Piastri would take it, but Norris has hauled back a pretty large deficit. To reverse that in the time left is a big ask, isn't it? Norris is just going to have to keep his nose clean, Piastri needs a big dose of luck to have a chance.

Verstappen really confirming (for the umpteenth time) that he's in a class of his own on the grid at the moment. I'm a huge Hamilton fan, but even I have to acknowledge that he's passed his peak. He makes silly errors (not slowing etc. for yellows this season), has bad luck (from qualifying low down, he's in the thick of it in the first few corners) and can't seem to get beyond flashes of brilliance in that car.
